Last I used this forum, this was a place where everyone was quite judgmental but would still share a good laugh. I just played with a developer, who could possibly be seem as a normal pug using a pug setup (thus 'freeloader'). But it was a developer! And I was in awe to play with a developer after over 4000 games played. That is all, my friend.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I've seen that banner in my first hours playing ME3 MP. Since at that time I didn't know what it means or couldn't even recognize that it's something out of ordinary, I did not pay attention to it

Really? Can't you level up the mattock a lot faster than the claymore and it's really good for an uncommon weapon. I can almost hear DR tutting you right now.

Surely if you're QA you must have the option to access every gun in the game ... I mean, how can you assure its quality otherwise?

The rainbow banner only denotes a non-vanilla banner. So alternate fan created banners, FemShep BotB and Bioware banners might show up as rainbows. A rainbow banner can only be donned by players (dunno about devs) in N7HQ, which means if you see one the player is more likely to be a BSNer. Not all rainbow banners are devs. That's odd, because I could see the banner just fine.
V3gan, it's been on the forum that BroJo was looking for more friends to play with using his alt account, so that's why no one seems amazed.

That explains it! I've been away from the forum as of lately.
Back in my day, playing with a developer was rarer than unlocking a triple UR pack.
