  Hello,

The forum stated that I could express my thoughts to the community team.  The following are my thoughts:

I honestly did not enjoy the Priority: Earth final mission.  It was lacking in many areas.  In my humble opinion, it should have included the following:

1. War Assets in Action.

2. A boss battle with Harbinger and Harbinger VO.

3. More meaningful choice and consequences, similar to the Suicide mission in ME2.

4. Boss battles with other Reaper ships as well.

5. A space battle with the war assets.

The plus factors:

1. Good interaction with existing squadmates and an appropriate farewell.

2. Decent horde battle prior to the beam run.

I say the following with all due respect.  The Bioware that I knew in the past would have looked at this content and enhanced/re-released it.  It seems that you may be unwilling to do so.  That's fine and that is your prerogative but I felt that it could have been of much better quality.  That said, I will not be purchasing the next Mass Effect game as a result.  I am sorry that we could not see eye to eye on the design of this game.

I agree. Could've had a much better end-product had they implemented any of these suggesstions. But especially the "appropriate" farewell, seeing the war assets in action and similar choice/consequence actions to the Suicide Mission in ME2.

Compared to ME2's suicide mission and even more to Citadel DLC's "everyone is fighting" the ending of ME3 feels a little underwhelming.

And I still don't get why BW did not add Collectors to the ending with via SP DLC

Actually, that IS possible. Remember Rannoch? You had to battle a reaper there with the help of a gun that called upon the guns of the Normandy and the Quarians. I never really thought about having a boss battle with Harbinger, but it would have definitely made things interesting. Also, the War Assets could have been used perfectly here. Call upon ALL your allies and based on who you have recruited, it would have made the battle that much easier or harder.

When you battled the Reaper on Rannoch, you had only the help of Quarians. Now imagine Harbinger against you and EVERY Race that you recruited. Game over for Harbinger, LOL.

Yes, I'm sure that will work fine while the sky is blackened by Reaper forces.

On Rannoch it was you + Quarian fleet vs 1 reaper.

On earth it would be you + all fleets vs all reapers. Not just you + all fleets vs Harbinger.

TIM as a reaper creature was planned as a final confrontation but ultimately scrapped.

Something along the lines of it being too "gamey" or the backlash from DA2 shoehorning in too many boss fights or something. I would have strongly opposed the idea anyways, if only because nigh everything involving Cerberus in ME3 was complete rubbish and thus such an encounter would feel extremely shallow.

I would have liked to see the war assets be more than just a number in the war room.
Also, while I thuroghly enjoyed the race to the beam while Harbinger shot at me, I was a bit crestfallen when I found that his role began and ended there.

I would have loved a suicide-like mission inside the citadel, but I also agree with all other points in the OP

A verbal confrontation withh Harbinger would have been enjoyable, glad there no boss battle however. But the mission of retaking Earth was underwhelming considering it was one of the most important events. War assets should have had more of an appearence in the battle like Asari snipers, Turian soldiers and Salarian stealth units aiding Shepard in numerous ways. A missed opportunity there. Also there should have been more variations in what would happen in the battle similar to the Suicide Mission.

Like many have mentioned, I would love to see war assets contributing more to the outcome. But not just in form of cutscenes, though even that would be a step forward from what we currently have.

Combine the mechanics of suicide mission with calling in reinforcements. For example, Shepard and her two companions come to an ambush. Assuming you have certain allies avalaible to you, you can call upon them. For example, a squad of primes droping from the sky to wipe the enemies away. Or, you could forgo that and try to break the ambush by yourself. Based on variables, one of your squadmates would either die or be injured and thus relegated to support duty. But, by saving reinforcements for later, you'd have bigger chances of reaching the beam when you finally got there. Or, get more soldiers through it.

Of course, that would also mean having to change large parts of Citadel portion. There would be fighting up there too and at the end, Shepard would have to do something(battle at the center of the mind?) and there would be her allies, shielding her while she does her job. Depending on how many allies you got to the Citadel, that would make final fight easier or harder.

A rough outline, but I'm sure there's a lot that could have been done better. Just another case of why this game would benefit from longer development. A year, at least. Maybe even two.

Some physical practical use of the war assets was obviously needed instead of them serving as some number metre.
