A lot of people (including myself) have expressed the desire to go further north in Thedas, preferably to Tevinter. While I still want that I would quite like it if in another game or DLC we could go further south into the Korcari Wilds. The simple fact that we know nothing about anything that lies beyond the wilds makes it intriguing to me. Would Elves and Dwarfs live there? Is it really just an icy wasteland below the wilds? It would also allow us to explore the chasind wilders culture which we know little of.

So would you like to go south of the border and find out what's there? And if so in what form?

Personally I wouldn't want a whole game set there but I would really like a DLC set there or as it being one region to explore in future games.

It's where a race of beardless, magic using dwarves lives.

While I am curious to know what lies outside of Thedas, I think it's natural for people to express more interest in wanting to see the rest of the parts of the known continent first. I think that's how the devs will steer the franchise too.

However, I do have a feeling that once we are close to finish exploring all of Thedas we will get more than a few hints on what lies beyond it. Either that or Bioware will run out of creativity and close the franchise.

Well I would be pretty happy with anything that expands on what little we do know about the chasind, So that would be cool,

but for the love of all that's good do not make the supposed frozen wastelands like "beyond the wall" in "Game of Thrones" as that would be very lame.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere (maybe from one of the devs?) that below the wilds is, like you said, just an expansive wasteland. That, however, doesn't mean there's nothing there. Maybe there's some kind of nomadic wasteland dwelling race, or something like the White Walkers from Game of Thrones.

I'd be pretty interested in going there, but in a DLC or future game. Maybe the Inquisitor could go south in an expedition after the whole end of the world demon invasion dealio is dealt with. Maybe in a future game it could turn out after the Fifth Blight and Awakening the awakened darkspawn tunneled far south and have set themselves up there to invade the north. I dunno, but something would be cool.

I hadn't thought of that. Now that would be very intresting. Liked your other ideas as well. :)

The Korcari wilds doesn't interest me that much.

My guess is that it and the Arbor Wilds doesn't extend too far down before it becomes barren coasts, since we can see ice formations in both the Sundered Sea to the West and in the Frozen seas to the east.

If we were to travel outside the Thedas map I'd like ot see what's North of The Donarks or to the West into the Volca Sea.

I'd rather go up North to Nevarra, tbh

I heard that if you beat the game using no continues on Nightmare difficulty as a female qunari blood mage who romances Cassandra but dumps her for Viv and attack only using standard attack then you elect to kill all the people, that the southern parts open up for complete open world exploration as a totally hidden game.

(hopes to get things put in the game via weird fan rumours like how features end up in MK)

This is sort of a question but do we know if the Thedas map is of the entire world? Or is it possible it's just a very massive continent with some islands or outlier areas? I would imagine that because it's sort of a medieval setting that they wouldn't have discovered all of the areas of the world yet. That could lead to different possibilities in future games -although like others have expressed I do hope that they cover all of known Thedas first. It would be fun to travel down and see what's there, Especially if that means getting to discover new areas and villages and what have you! Christopher Columbus style! Only you know.... with less atrocities committed. *Cough*

There is, both humans and qunari came from beyond the Thedas map as far as I recall. Only elves and Dwarves are native to the continent.

A future game where you're an explorer with expedition companions sent to actually figure out what is beyond the Wilds could be interesting? But there are a bunch of places we already know about that I want to visit way more. It could be a fun twist a couple games down the line though, if Bioware has an interest in further developing the world.

I truly thought this was an innuendo when I had originally looked at the title.

going further south in Thedas is like going past the Wall in ASoIaF, sure there's new stuff out there I'm sure, but eventually its just gonna be a frozen wasteland
