This was an OXM mistake -- one of nigh-countless at this rate. I figured it deserves its own thread so that people who are following neither the twitter nor OXM thread can be immediately made aware of the news.

Honestly, I would have been happy if the game was just taking place across the entire area of Orlais. DA:O was only Ferelden and it felt like there was enough space to work with. DA2 felt way too small, but Orlais is huge in comparison, even just by itself. I'm still happy with the amount of space we should be getting. Sucks that the magazine has gotten their facts glaringly wrong, though.

I'm cool with just going to Orlais and parts of Ferelden, albeit exasperated with OXM. I wonder how they got the wrong end of this particular stick?

 

The only part I'm actually sad about is that we're not going to Starkhaven. Makes it a lot less likely that we'll see Sebastian . And I guess that settles the question of whether we're going back to Kirkwall, too.

The devs already stated that we'll visit Orlais and Ferelden. They never stated that there's be other regions. We thought that they were hiding something, but it wasn't their fault that we thought that or that the damn magazine misunderstood (or outright put assumption as confirmations).

Well, so much for my theory that the peace meeting will take place in Kirkwall (It ends where it started and such); now I don't have a clue about where it's at.
I'm fine with just Orlais and Ferelden, however. Seems good/big enough for me. Plus, this news means there's more lands to visit in next DA games, and that's all the more positive.

 

But I still hope Andoral's Reach in the game. For Asunder spoiler-y reasons.
