And they bragging about this...when? Because the only time they even talked about the possibility of visiting Nevarra or the FM was before we knew the game was called Inquisition. During the PAX demo they only said that the game won't be restrained in one coutry and that the game will have big locations.

I'm with you.  I'd like some sources for this "bragging" and other things that I feel the need to put into quotes.

You answered your own question. I didn't take it as a promise or anything, but it'll be disappointing anyway if they don't live up to it.

Are you talking about the game being big? Because I agree with you on that. They kind of promised a big (separated in areas) world to explore in DAI.

How can you live up to something that isn't a promise (or stated at all)??

Mike Laidlaw said "I'm thinking something like This" not This is what we will definitely visit.

Also I recall that this video of Mike Laidlaw was before Exalted March (in the Free Marches") was cancelled.

I agree Gith but I think Puddi is going to look for reasons to be upset.

Here we go.  Michael, can I share your popcorn?

By believing in themselves and drilling for the heavens, obviously. It wasn't a promise, but it was still a goal that they had. It would be great if they realize their vision to the fullest extent possible, yeah?

And I'm not annoyed, except by the peanut gallery. ^_^

So just Orlais and Fereldan than? Shame, i was looking forward for Nevarra, the place is probably the most interesting region of thedas(for me). Really disappointed but still lookin forward for this game. At least we have my next anticipated place, Val royeaux to visit......right? I heard a rumor that cities in Inquisition will only be hubs.

Cities are generally hubs. What you've heard is that hubs migh be only castles and forts, not cities.

Still stinks though. Here they are going to Nevarra and I'm stuck in Orlais.

Your agents are only going somewhere else behind the scenes. In order for us to be able to actually visit Nevarra Bioware would first have to design it all. I much rather have any developer focus on quality over quantity because it would mean that Nevarra or any other extra country couldn't be done any justice. Nevarra should have different architecture than Orlais so it is a good thing they aren't including it yet or they would have likely have to use generic architecture across multiple different countries.

Yes, but it was noted by a magazine and so far the magazines have been wrong about too much to believe anything they have said.

Pre-Order Cancelled!   (too soon?)

Okay, seriously, that's a shame. Then again, their endeavour is ambitious already, making the zones so big and the graphics, at least from what has been show, absolutely gorgeous. They have limited resources, can't do it all.

It's really a shame that we are not able to visit Nevarra. I was so happy after OXM article, cause Nevarra came one of the most interesting nations in Thedas after reading TWOT. But maybe in next game along with Tevinter, pretty please BioWare :)

It's a bit disappointing... I don't really like Orlaisians so I was hoping for Nevarra at least. But hey, we still have old, good Ferelden. :)

I really feel bad for BW now.... a lot of people seem disappointed about Nevarra not being in, because a magazine incorrectly said it would be. There's no point in being sad about this, since I'm sure BW will make the best of Orlais they possibly can.

I also wonder if the people who are now disappointed also felt this way about the game before the OXM article came out.

I still believe the game is going to be great, and really look forward to seeing Orlais.

I wonder if the veil tears are world wide, If they arent then the inquisition staying in Orlais and Ferelden makes sense. If they are world wide perhaps our inquisitor will be showing up in DA4

Perhaps the tears are worldwide, but despite the Inquisitor, together with the heroic sacrifice of the last heir to the Empire, defeating them, in Tevinter the Thelvor, a radical faction, will claim credit for dealing with them and take advantage of the chaos to gain dominance of the world and force everyone to follow their religion.  Then the next DA will take place in the Northern Kingdom of Anderfels, where there's a civil war caused by an attempt to shake of their dominance, and the Dragon God Dumat is returning...

Showing that large section of map in the loading screen during the demo was an ingenious move, when you think about it. It gave the unprompted impression of an open-world game covering much more space than a zone-based game like Dragon Age could ever realistically accomplish. Taking a cookie cutter and singling out small areas (small relative to the size of the map, anyway) in eastern Ferelden and Orlais gives you a better idea of what the scope is going to be.

They could have zoomed the map in, or cropped it to give a more accurate impression, but marketing is all about hype! :P

Personally, as long as we visit a variety of diverse locations (and that was definitely implied in the Discover trailer) I'm happy and will pretend I never expected Nevarra or the Free Marches because of that map.

That's a great and well-though out reference, I like it.
