. The other races didn't go on and then ban said hoarding and treating it as a war crime.I wouldn't be surprised if other races kept information they may have gleaned from their own prothean relics to themselves, despite the penalties for doing so. There's a great deal of value in keeping secrets.
Anyone still miss the "Dark Energy Theory"?

Well, we managed to get halfway down page one before this turned into an Asari thread... better than another QvG slugfest, I guess, but not by much.

The asari are absolutely imperialist, not in the same sense as say the protheans, but economic domination, withholding technology from "lesser" races, allowing slaving and other illicit activity with no government oversight in order to keep profits, are all indicative of an imperialist power.
You mean Illium? Boo, freaking, hoo. There's Noveria, which is human.
Because they have the most money and have a laissez-faire economy makes them imperialist? No, it makes them successful.
I'm a fan of the Salarians, personally, but the people who rage about the Asari really have their head up their ass.

I am disappointed. Admittedly, I'm part of the problem, but oh well.

Fuck if I care what their government does. That isn't "the asari" to me. The asari are the families, the women, the children, the sisters, the wives, the husb.. uh, the other wives, the schools, the sports clubs, the charities, the people. That's why when people claim that they'd bring the Hand of God down on "the asari" in the control ending for holding onto the beacon, they just look like an absolute maniac.

Obviously, the asari done goofed, but that's not really the point. The only reason we even know that the asari did this was because they happened to be sitting on pretty relevant data. For all we know, the other races did this all the time, but it was never anything quite as substantial. I don't expect the other governments to exactly practice as they preach. I mean really, if the humans found something that could give them a considerable edge technologically on archives on their own moon, it's more than likely that we'd keep it to ourselves, or at least keep key details a secret. And really, why not? Because the Council says so? Lol, as if.

Well, you can't post to anything until you acknowledge the warning. And if you get three, you are banned.

I'd say that Bekenstein is more comparable to Illium, since Noveria is pretty much a frozen wasteland that only serves as a place for corporations to go about their shady business without much oversight.
