Let the duel begins!

Props for Cerberus Ajax Armor.

1: More tank because got 25% shields, but shield regen is 10%.

2: Ammo capacity is incrased by 25%.

3: Weapon and Power damage is 10%.

Props for Cerberus Shade Armor.

1: 20% shields and 20% shield regen.

2: 10% Meele Damage, 10% power damage and 10% weapon damage.

3: 10% Ammo capacity.

I think more tank armor is Cerberus Ajax for insanity for soldier. But if you use powers freequently Cerberus Shade Armor is more effective.

Are you asking which is better to use on a Soldier? Then the answer is neither, because by the time you can access the Citadel DLC armors in the game, you can typically get better bonuses from N7 armor pieces for the stats you want to increase.

Now the Cerberus Ajax Armor is DLC, so you can access it immediately before you get the good N7 armor pieces. So you can use that before you get the armor you actually want.

In terms of raw damage potential for a Soldier, neither compare to the Hahne-Kedar armor with a Recon Hood: http://masseffect.wi...r#Mass_Effect_3 50% weapon damage.

Alternative could be to use a mixture of the Armax Arsenal outfit with the Hahne-Kedar one or use either the Kuwashii Visor or the Recon Hood: http://masseffect.wi...l#Mass_Effect_3

If you specifically want to know which is better for a soldier between those two sets you linked, then the answer is still neither. The Cerberus Nightmare variant is better overall due to weapn and headshot damage bonuses: http://masseffect.wi...Nightmare_Armor

Again, I am not sure I understand your original question.

Ryuji2 just beat me to it (I was replying to another post first), but you are better off using other armor as I said previously. Hadne-Kedar Armor will give you +40% (of base) weapon damage, and the Recon Hood will give you another +10%.

And if you want tankiness, then there are armor pieces (which manufacturer) + the Archon Visor which can give you a total of +20% shield regen rate and +30% shields. The Collector Armor will give you +20% shields, +20% health, and +20% shield regen.

Of the armors you show:

 - The power damage applies only to Concussive shot, Frag Grenades, and any non-ammo bonus power you might choose.

 - The melee damage bonus is small, only 10% so not really worth it.

 - The weapon damage bonus is small, only +10%, so again, not really worth it.

 - The ammo capacity (+10% or +25%) on that armor will not be really be worth it unless you are using a gun that is very poor on ammo and you are a very bad shot.

 - The +25% shields is based off of base shields u so only adds +125 shields (25% of 500). Doubtful you notice that increase on Insanity. When you are out of cover you actually take +40% more damage.

Now, more shields are good if you take Fortification specced for maximum damage protection, but even then, I recommend more weapon damage (Hadne-Kedar armor) on the Soldier since the class does not benefit much from the other bonuses except headshots.

And as Ryuji2 points out, Cerberus Nightmare is better than Cerberus Shade on the Soldier since it has more weapon damage and headshot bonuses.

It should be noted that you can stack armor pieces to really enhance one stat, particularly: +50% Power Damage, +50% Weapon Damage, +50% melee damage, or +50% Power Recharge. There are a couple of others that provide some mixed stats like weapon damage + headshots + ammo capacity, or shields + shield regeneration.

Some of the full armor suits provide good bonuses early, but are soon eclipsed by the mix+match armor pieces if you really want to max one stat (weapon damage, power damage, power recharge, or melee).

The mix-max armor pieces only give you +65% max in total.

The Cerberus armors give 80% total.

I don't think I've ever not finished the game with the Cerberus Spirit Armor. Then again, I never play as a soldier (that armor would be pretty much useless on a soldier :P)

Mix-Max armor pieces will give you +50% total to stats, although some of the weapon+headshot pieces will skew that somewhat. But the headshot pieces are kind of lame unless you are using a weapon that cannot kill in a single headshot unless you use those pieces. Not sure which weapons would fall under that category.

Most full armor suits will give you +60% total to stats, although none of them will give you greater than +30% in a single stat category. The DLC armors like the Cerberus armors will give you more totall stats, but again, nothing greater than +30% to a single stat, and +10% to a stat is not really noticeable.

This is why you are better to use the mix-max armors to get +40/+50% to a single stat to really increase one aspect of your class. And this is why Hadne-Kedar and Recon Hood/Demulcore Overlay is good for +50% weapon damage on the Soldier. Best to increase what the Soldier does best.

Now I could also make a case for Shields+shield recharge if you take Fortification with max damage protection + shield recharge. With shield recharge bonuses in Fortification/Defense Matrix/Barrier (+15%) + Fitness (+15%) + armor (+20%), you can get +50% shield recharge delay. Max shields can also help with Damage Protection, but that works really well on a Sentinel instead since you can stack damage protection with Tech Armor.

As for Spirit Armor, not that great in my opinion. I think that gives you +30% power damage and +30% power recharge if I recall? Slightly better than Inferno Armor since it gives you some extra bonuses as well, although they are very small. But Power Recharge is such a wasted stat most of the time since power recharge speed gives diminishing returns the more you add.
