Question for those who stated second account

It seems that in my case everything is just like before. Maxed my old manifest in just little over 700 hours, and I'm currently at 640 hours with 8 more to go. That sounds approximately equal.
How about the rest of you?

I don't have a second account but thinking about it logically the 2nd time you max your manifest should go much faster. I for example, stuck to silver for way too long. IIRC I had almost all of my rares maxed out before moving up to Gold.
If I started a second account right now, the moment I max out a Mattock and silver AR mods I'd start playing Gold.

I'm further for my hours in both my other manifests.
I spent way too long in Bronze and Silver on my Xbox manifest, unfortunately.

Ok, this might be a really naive question, but how do you start a second account when you're saddled with Origin? Doesn't it tie the authentication/authorization to your account?

I'm not sure.
On Xbox, you would actually have to pay for a second XBL Gold account, and I don't know anyone who's willing to do that.
On PS3, I think you just create a new profile, all you need is an e-mail account, and any copy of the game will do, it doesn't have to be registered.
On Origin, I believe you have to buy a copy for each registration, but I've never used Origin, so I'm not sure. It would be more expensive than having an alt on PS3, but obviously a lot cheaper than a XBL Gold subscription.

One more important thing to mention. I think on old account platinum games played outnumber all others, where in the new account it's mostly been gold. Very little platinum and maybe 10 silver/bronze all together.

On origin you have to buy a new copy of the game. I don't know if you can make an alt account for one ME copy though.
Thanks. So there's no free lunch ![]()

It should be faster to max the manifest for the second account. For my present account, I spent months in Bronze before moving up. If I ever get round to starting a second account, I should be in Gold within a few games.

Yeah, the Human Sentinel is Gold ready with just about any gun, and is pretty easy to use with Tech Armour going. I pretty much skipped Bronze and Silver on my second and third manifests.

Heh, I'm on my third Xbox account right now ![]()
On my first alt I actually had relatively good luck in terms of unlocking ultra rares in the time I used it. My current account on the other hand has not been so good, in fact taking into account the fact that I went straight into Gold and Platinum this time it's probably been the worst of the three by far in terms of my URs per credits spent ratio.
One constant across all three though, has been the fact that this game really doesn't like giving me the Eagle ![]()
All this talk of two, three, or more accounts - maybe I'm just not used to the sheer number of hours to commit in a single game to unlock everything, but surely it is stressful enough to do it all once? - couldn't imagine having to start from scratch again. Think I'd rather never play again.
It seems that way when you're still unlocking things, but I found that as soon as I maxed my manifest I started to miss it all and starting again really helped to reinvigorate the game for me.

Well, I really started the alt on PS3 to basically play with all the PSN people I'd never played with. The only reason I started the third account was because PSN won't let you change your GT, and I wanted the same GT across all platforms.
I will eventually start a fourth, for PC, but it's not to "start over," it's just for the experience of playing it with mouse and keyboard, to see the difference, and play with some of the PC people who aren't on console.
But yeah, I'm not looking forward to having a Mantis and a Human Sentinel as my only crutches again! xD

Hmm, well I've been maxxed since last year, and don't miss unlocking things one bit. I love being able to jump into a match without caring about weapons or consumables, and always making a profit in consumables through packs.<snip>
It seems that way when you're still unlocking things, but I found that as soon as I maxed my manifest I started to miss it all and starting again really helped to reinvigorate the game for me.
Had the most fun now when I can enjoy the combat and not care about inventory management.
Funny that about the eagle - at one time that could have been considered a blessing!
Edit: Ah yeah, that makes sense Jeremiah - I can understand for the purpose of playing with people on different platforms.
