Drell is fine too, but they really don't carry a punch like Paladin who sends phantoms flying. Asaris are too exhausted after heavy melee for me to like.

And I enjoy Krogan barrier blast than his headbutts.

I'd say Vorcha, I love the face-surgery during grabs too.

 

Honourable mention goes to the Destroyer (light and heavy)

Paladin camping a spawn point and b-slapping mooks and LT's over the ledge and  back into oblivion is glory!

1. Paladin: Nothing like beating down an on host Phantom with the shield.

2. Shadow: I like chopping off heads.

3. Batarian (Gauntlet): Falcon punch all the things.

4. Krogan headbutt/pimphand: Wrraahhaahhaa.

5. Vorcha: Quick and effective

6. GI/GE/GT: Nice AoE and turns them to goo.

7. Asari: Another great AoE, especially good on the Valkyrie.

8. Human Sentinel/Turian Sentinel: Tech Armor goodness to boost the damage and it is very quick making it easy to bounce from mook to mook.

Drell melee is cool but I rarely play a melee only focused drell. It's nice to execute drell melee every now and then though.

The other characters, however are some of my go-to melee kits (melee saboteur, shadow, paladin, havoc and ghost).

1. Batarian Hatesurf. Anything else as #1 is nonsense.

2. Shadow/Slayer heavy melee, especially vs phantoms because my sword wins

3. Krogan running headbutt -> mooks flying across 3 continents. toplel

The donk sound of the Paladin smacking enemies around is pretty satisfying. 

 

Krogan Hammer at times is the best though. Sending enemies into orbit is the most satisfying.

Drell Infiltrator melee is a lot of fun. Kung fu skills are top notch!

 

Also forgot to mention the QFI, she is just insane with it and it is very satisfying one hitting a Phantom.

Batarian and phoenix (both heavy and light).

 

Another one I forgot... SHOCKBAT! I especially loved my melee Phoenix Vanguard.

 

Cabal is another great melee vanguard. Jumping through walls to slash enemies to death didn't get old.

 

(if you can't tell, I really enjoy melee in this game. I get really bored with guns/powers a lot of the time.)

By far the most satisfying melee has to be using the geth light melee against geth troopers, rocket troopers, hunters or marauders.

Joking aside, there's loads of cool melees.

Fury light, batarian light, human adept, demolisher, geth, TSol, AIU, etc...

Only few I don't like = vanilla infiltrator heavy, paladin light (it's one animation, no variation), and I must say I don't like the asari heavy.

Krogan is hands down the best/most satisfying. As much as I love the shadow, I have to put krogan at #1.

Batarian, Drell, krogan. I actually like the Fury's too, it's not incredibly efficient but it's pretty cool.
