All of them good lookin' characters, Captain.
(Martyn is going to get some heavy revision in Inquisition; I wanted to make him black.)
Can I ask what stopped you in the first place?

The inadequate range of skin tones, at least as compared to Inquisition.

It's hard to do Hawke well in Inquisition
The skin's reproduction is actually quite difficult, and almost impossible to reproduce the hair style and the facial hair style... although this is explained by the hairdresser/barber, if you want to explain somehow... But really hard to explain, that how the light red/blonde stubble and eyebrow became dark/black... and why would the fugitive's (mage side) first thought: that he should to go to the hairdresser...
(I'm curious how I can do Georg - Wilhelm succeed comparatively good)
By the way – Varric's fault: He is not well described Hawke's apperance ... (As probably only he told that Hawke are blood mage...)

Well, that explains it.. well. I loved the skin tones in Inquisition and the ability to chaneg the color of your entire eye, it was beautiful. Hair, whether it to be face/head still kinda mess. Bioware still need to work on character customization

Ha, that's a good one! I like it. Really wanna play DA:I now, all these talks makes me dizzy
Is this your Hawke from Inquisition, Catilina ? (I haven't played the game much) Looks really great. I can sense some Anders-alike appearance in him.

Thank you! Yes, on the first image my Inquisition-Wilhelm, and on the second image the DA2-Legacy-Wilhelm. He is one of my favorite Hawkes (rivalmance Fenris – blood-fire specc – always wanted some extra dialogue/weakness to a blood mage Hawke... and the Inquisition blood mage Hawke was... really dissapointing – however, very difficult but somehow explainable), the other favorite is Georg (friendmance Anders – force-spirit healer specc).
Anders-like? It was not intentional, but true, Anders one of my favorites in the whole DA series...
Ahh, right! DA II Legacy, that's the location for your second image. I actually wasn't sure whether it from DA:I as well or DA II haha. Well, in that case, you can really congratulate yourself - great job on making Wilhelm in Inquisition!
I would also like to try blood mage playthrough, quite curious about the whole thing. Now replaying Origins, and my Amell mage was a spectator during Jowan's blood magic demonstration (have to admit it looks more believable in DA:O than DA II) and his, as my own, curiosity begin to grow.

When you really like someone, you may implement it just unintentionally. I loved my male Hawke and somehow I made my Origins mage looks similar to him.
I have a black Hawke in DA2 right now, the second darkest default skin tone.
She looks great most of the time, but in some scenes she just looks tanned, not black. In Lowtown and some sunny cutscenes there's a terrible glimmer coming off her skin that looks so odd. Observe. (With one of the other versions of Carver in the background, I like his face a lot actually. More than the regular one.)
But overall it looks pretty good for the majority of the game. Fingers crossed I can recreate her well in DAI.

Yes, more believable because the Grey Wardens always approved the blood magic...
In the DA2 by my scenario Wilhelm is a self-confident person, and strong enough to keep over control the blood magic – at least HE believe that he is strong enough (because, he is self-confident), and Fenris also continually say about him that... (haha, dangerous combination!), but he saw, that how much fellow mages lost his controll over him-/herself, and because of this, he dont think, that the (another) mages able control the blood magic. (I think this explains to some extent)
Georg does not need to be so complicated explanation. He does not use blood magic.
Do you use any particular mods, ArcadiaGrey? I can see the glimmer, but not only skin, her hair looks a bit shiny as well. As for Carver, I also like his appearance here. Because of him, I used to make my Hawke, launch the game, see how would he looks like and only after that start a game properly. Bethany looks good most of the time, as for Carver, if I am playing dark-skin Hawke, I have to make sure I didn't mess my little brother ![]()

I'm running lots of mods yes, I never realised it may be one of them. So do you not get that shine on Hawke's dark skin in the Lowtown light?
I restarted quite a few times trying to find a Carver and Leandra I liked for this run. I don't care what the dead twin looks like, but I do enjoy having different versions of the live one for every run. ![]()
I only have a video. but it contains spoilers for the people who haven't finished Dragon Age Inquisition. So, SPOILER ALERT.

So nice video!
But why Hawke? Loghain a traitor murderer, his deserved execution just has been postponed ...
Plus tainted, and close to death. Hawke are healty and strong. Not a logical decision.

Yes, and he deserved the execution... the two are not mutually exclusive! ![]()

Thank you very much!
Loghain is my favorite villian ever. We needed a new Warden commander, and after reading the books, I just can't kill Loghain. And who knows? Maybe Hawke survives, if we may listen to what Flemeth told Hawke in Dragon Age II:
"We stand upon the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss. Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly."
The quest in DA:I is called "Here lies the abyss"
So.. makes sense right? Don't get me wrong though, it was a VERY difficult choice..

Yes if anyone, then Hawke have chance to escaped alive (I really like this quote, and Flemeth too)... but why would risking his life for a traitor? (I really like this quote, and Flemeth too...)
I think, Loghain has changed since the story of the book (I never read The Stolen Throne, maybe once...later). The fact, he had become traitor and murderer. (The attractive traitor murderer also just a traitor murderer. Already he would have deserved the punishment because he allied with that rat Howe...) Plus I do not think, Loghain necessary to live, just because he is a warden commander. Wardens solve the rebuild without him. They are skillful...
(Interest, why so much people likes Loghain. Let's say he have some dry sense of humor and charm... maybe I need to read The Stolen Throne...)

Loghain did change, but he is seeking redemption. I mean, he did not regret retreating in Ostagar. But what did he have to do? Cailan wanted to fight in the front lines afterall. He would die either way, in fact, perhaps the whole army would die. We saw the Darkspawn army. It was huge.
He just loves his country more than anything else. And his hatred for Orlais was way too big to see reason at some point.
About Howe.. I'm not sure he understood what an asshat Howe was. Killing him was so satisfying >=)
To be honest, the Warden is a murderer too. And Sten, didn't he kill a woman and children? They're all killers.
We saw what happened to the Wardens, I'm not sure the Orleasian ones are as skillful as the Fereldan ones, haha. Atleast with Loghain, I'm sure they can rebuild. I trust him.
Ah, but it is all a matter of perspective. It's like Solas told us: "One moment I see heroic Grey Wardens lighting the fire and a a power-mad villian sneering as he lets King Cailan fall. The next, I see an army overwhelmed and a veteran commander refusing to let more soldiers die in a lost cause."
I think for some people Loghain is their kind of guy. I liked him ever since the first time I saw him.

Not (just) Ostagar was Loghain's sin (yes, we can find a reasonable explanation why he did, what he did in Ostagar), but Uldred (the Mage Tower), Eamon arl, the Grey Wardens (and this rat Howe!!!
)... that whole thing was a madness!
Yes, no one innocent in this nice group, but Loghain more than simple criminal. He abuse of his power. This is a very serious sin in my opinion.
But yes, he's really engaging in its own way ...

The rest of the crimes, which you have pointed out, those are the ones he wants to redeem. He knows he did wrong. I think that's a good thing. Atleast he admits it.
But where have we come? Hahaha, we got totally off-topic here xD
Yes, and he deserved the execution... the two are not mutually exclusive!
I've saved him twice, he's one of my favourite characters. Also a couple of ppl have said his part in DAI is better than warden Alistair or Stroud, so it's worth trying out. ![]()

My Cousland spared his life (drunk Alistair), he received the reprieve for the repayment. And yes, he have some good moments. I not finished the Fade quest with my Adaar (and with Wilhelm Hawke and Loghain) yet.
(Not to be off topic)
And this is Inquisition Martyn. Still didn't get the skin tone right, but he's a lot closer to what I had in my head.

My question about the DA2 Hawkes- How many of these pics were Hawkes made with toolkits? I play on an xbox 360 and every Hawke I've made always looked like the others. I can't seem to get rid of the similarities and yet here I see completely different looking versions. Is it because a toolkit is used?

Someone uses mods, I play on PC, but for example I do not use mods in the DA (yet...), just the sliders.
