If you are holding up somewhere on platinum that warp sphere with 25% damage increase is awesome plus you can spam reave.

back in the day and I mean late 2012, before all the updates, platinum, geth bombers, gear, dragoons, platinum etc....the Justicar was my favorite class. I would double bubble.

I would reave something, run up to it and hit it with a bubble (BE) then reave again (BE) so you get 2 BEs out of three power throws...Now I seem to instantly die to everything on gold when I do this. I can't run up to an atlas without taking a rocket to the face and the sad part is I never see an atlass fire anything at me. I just get hit...

You can sparingly double bubble still but I honestly think those days are over. But anywhere you can funnel enemies into, if they make it through your bubble, even on platinum, your team generally sucks and isn't putting enough DPS out there...

Thinking about trying her with a cyclonic modulator but the AJ used to be a tank with the reave damae reduction, now it seems on gold and platinum every shot takes me to one bar of health...

I was also a proponent of putting 3 points in pull because I would double bubble the whole game, never stop rushing enemies on gold, atlases, banshees, etc...so pull would get me out of jams with little mooks that surprise me....or I would reave and carnifex  maruader to knck its shields down then pull him before he killed me (always a race with this playing style)...

I just took her for a spin on platinum with a carnifex X with 30% power damage and 25% damage...

I used a power amplifier 4 and I respecced reave and got rid of the 10% extra DR to do 75% more damage against armor and barriers....Put 3 points in pull as well just to hita few unshieleded mooks or things I unshield....not much use for it in platinum but it did save me once or twice...

Topped the leaderboard at 200k but we had two other biotics in there (joined a game in progress)...

Commando package 5...I am going to try it with a cyconic /IV instead of the power amp now now....

I like the reave with the armor/barrier damage bonus...

I am inclined to answer yes in the modern metagame (a bunch of ppl with harrier X playing run-and-gun on gold/plat). Reasons:

- Pull is useless because it is a rubbish power
- Bubble is near useless because you are moving, no RUNNING, all the time
- Reave is a great power, but one great power does not a good kit make. And it is really only good because it is a fast cast no dodge primer for warp ammo.

So while she is completely playable there are so many kits that outshines her that I reluctantly will put her in the "bad" category.

I actually quite enjoy that build with the PPR or CSMG. It's not the most practical build but it's fun to have nearly instantaneous shield regen and pretty good DR. I don't bother with hard cover though....ever.

I usually don't bother with hard cover either, but it is different to play a build where it really works. The maps feel quite different when, instead of thinking about soft cover and RHA, you start thinking about good hard cover positions.

I think there's a good case to make for taking four levels of pull; the 4b radius evolution is really useful, while levels 5 and 6 in passives are good but not essential.

so that must mean that the Javelin is useless too, since this game is almost completely close-quarters?

I didnt say a word about the javelin, so that is a conclusion that you will have to stand for.

A bunch of kits with slowpoke powers that doesnt support gunplay well and/or are outshined by other powers on other kits. I wont list any because I know that will just incite nerd rage.

I was using the Javelin as an admittedly extreme example of how your logic is misguided. It's a single-shot sniper rifle with a charge-up time, which is as far away from "run-and-gun" as you can get.

The Justicar is absolutely fantastic. I would advise you to try out the offensive bubble strategies mentioned in this thread before dismissing the power/kit completely. Pull is great on the Justicar because it's an easy way to deal with mooks (of which there are plenty of on Gold/Plat).

The video Queen Angel posted is the one I was referring to when we played earlier, Psychic. Check it out for a demonstration of what I was telling you about using her and how to deploy the bubble without getting wrecked.

like the Volus Vanguard?

The Adept clearly outshines the Vanguard because he has Stasis. Biotic Charge is redundant because of Shield Boost.

For playing a lot of games on platinum pull is really circumstantial...most of the game I am spamming reave and shootng in between and changing the bubble's location. If I play silver I am going 66660 for gigantic biotic booms everywhere....the 30% AR weight reduction in level 6 passive along with the one in 4 would allow you to carry a gun that packs a punch and still spam reave....

I am liking the reave stack though with 75% to armor and barriers....I really can't notice much on platinum in terms of health....somthing hits me I am about dead whether my shields are 700 or 1100 it seems to me. I almost feel like fitness is just useless on most kits in platinum. Going from 500-800 or 600-900 or whatever it is seems insignificant but the DR from the justicar is nice...

Maybe fir you but when I play platinum pugs on ps3, most of the time wwe have to stick together or we don't extract. On very rare occasions do I get in a room where the four of us can just run through things....Usually its a challenge and even if I have a top class for me, if its collectors platinum I am 50/50 with 6 rockets....Last game I played we wiped in 10....

no, it's fact. put them side by side and the Adept is the clear winner.

it's only a "bad" kit because it doesn't measure up to the Adept. However, he does have some "unique" uses just like the Justicar.

So maybe not, it's not a "bad" kit at all because every kit has it's uniqueness, strengths and weaknesses.

She's my biotic Lancer soldier with acolyte as a backup. Really like her as a sniper too, lately been using black widow on her and it's awesome  All in all a very versatile class that can handle any kind of weapon in the game on any difficulty.

Completely agree. She's a Biotic Soldier rather than an Adept.

I use the Particle Rifle on her with Incendiary for a Fire Explosions and Biotic Explosions. :D

Ari, the Vanguard stacks Charge's Weapon Synergy with Orb debuffs. Adept does not even touch that kind of damage boost because Stasis Expose is buggered. Don't be silly.

Besides. They're both awesome.
