Perhaps.  I don't think I have seen more than one or two good BE-focused Justicars.  Come to think of it, I don't think I have seen any Justicars (except when I was using the kit) for quite some time.

No ****? Wonder why, seeing she is such a superduper awsome kit :P

I havebto agree that the generally low population of GIs is a tad strange. My personal guess is that the low shields causes ppl to avoid them in laggy pug lobbies. But I dunno.

Agreed. Worst kit in the game. Same as the QME.

Collector SMG, power amp IV, Warp IV, reave-bubble-reave! She's one of my favorite kits to play in platinum.

Just gonna chime in with a little on-topic post (sorry about this) ...

Pull is generally less useful the higher difficulty you go but it does have one other little trick up its sleeve, it's a fast stagger (on shielded/armouered units) with a very low cooldown. I'm still running a 6/6/6/4/4 build as I've not respecced her since they fixed the 5a Power Damage bug on the passive ... with an Acolyte and a Disciple (it's in the picture - so I figured I'd give it a go originally) and that gives you an fast stagger with Pull and a pretty much guaranteed stagger with either weapon.

The Disciple is only slightly awful on her, the shot doesn't spread too wide if you've got Smart Choke on so you can almost do damage with headshots ... it's actually the reload time that's the biggest killer - even with animation cancelling, the actual reload timer feels quite long. Oh ... and I use Cryo ammo :P So you've got a decent stagger/freeze potential and some nice DoT with Reave.

Yes it's definitely a sub-optimal build but it's quite good fun up to gold level.

As a final note: if you're gonna: Reave > Run at Boss > Bubble ... make sure of 2 things. Firstly that bubble is specced for the extra 30% radius (makes life much safer) and secondly that you Asari power-slide backwards (or to the side) as soon as you've dropped the Bubble!

So many here would say they rock her with nothing but only acolyte. But OP thinks she is not a good pure caster adept.

Actually 'Bad' was the world used.

Well maybe that has to do something with the fact that she is the best adept in the game and she's better than the GI... at least according to polls.

Read a few posts and just decided to not go any further. I'll try to clear up a few misconceptions.

IMO she gains dominance as the difficulty increases and pull gains more utility. Pull/Acolyte can completely neutralize troublesome enemies like Phantoms, Hunters, Possessed Captains, etc that are a real PITA and deplete the wave budget quickly. You can literally play pretty aggressively with the Acolyte/Pull/Reave and hunt down these enemies depleting the budget and saving your team a ton of frustration. On gold and below assuming any kind of decent weight load out the time to set up the pull/reave combo is too much IMHO if you're with a decent team.

Also on Platinum more bulky enemies make the bubble more effective. It has a shitton of force upon deployment as well so it will stun pretty much everything even Atlases on deployment. I find Geth Scanner to be required equipment to get the most out of her powers. It also has DR for your team even if you don't spec into defensive bubble, which is nice for hacks, disables, etc.

Maybe I shouldn't say this but she is the easiest kit for me to solo Platinum with, she literally has an answer for every enemy type and can dispatch them quickly.

Not at all. Look up the numbers for yourself. BE's are a nice bonus, but if you use them as your major damage dealer (and is not a N7 fury) you are IMO doing something wrong. As I recall (and I might remeber this wrong mind you) a BE on platinum deals approx 1k damage or 2k against armor and barriers. A harrier X deals abour 900 damage per second BEFORE adding any passives, gear, ammor or mods...

Can't speak to platinum (I've only played two rounds of platinum, both times by accident) but on gold I find area pull is reasonably useful. If you throw area pull and reave on any spawn, something is guaranteed to go boom. (*edit* All the same, I usually skip pull. The biggest problem for me with situational powers is that I forget to use them.)

There's no easy comparison with the Justicar though. You get a kit that can has a unique playstyle, can tank, pull off rapid fire BEs, support, debuff, and do excellent weapon damage. How can that be bad?

Only issue for me is if you are only putting 3 points in pull, you only geet a level 3 BE so hitting a spawn with it won't splash too much...plus you are spawn killing enemeis which is efficient but not challenging....kind of like when I spawn into a game already in progress and I load into the game in a downed state. Not fun for me...

But pull for staggering and saving your life if you are agressive on goild/platinum is useful....and to be honst, the argmuent someone made that you can pull a guardians shield is moot....1 reave cast kills a guardian EASILY! It melts and dies in a few seconds It is cool though to pull--pull reave guardian but not necessary and less efficient.....Reave and leave...or reave and shoot with your armor piercing rounds and its dead in a second anyways...

Thank you for a constructive and well written response. A nice change of pace for this thread. The only point to which I do not agree is that I feel that the redundancy of the Pull/Reave combo persists into platinum as well, since if you choose to ignore pull you can afford to bring a heavier weapon instead.

The bubble is certainly still very nice for hacks and such, agreed. All I am trying to say is that is nowhere near as good as it was back when we were all camping on firebase white :)

Oh c'mon. Indulge me slightly. I haven't got to troll anyone on here in like 2 weeks. I have no dog in this fight because the argument always ends up the same way. If a player doesn't have the skill to master the Justicar, then it's not something you can beat into them.

Pulls viability also depends on your play style. I go for 200%% cooldowns....sure I could put reave out there and shoot things with a harrier or some other OP gun but I might as well just use the Drell and cluster grenades if I am going to go that way.....I want my recharge at 200% when double bubbling and shooting is seconedary to me.....reave and BEs for my justicar....might be a little less efficient than a harrier with warp ammo 4, AR III and AR gear but I have more fun playing it like that and this is a video game in the end...

BEs are primarily a tool for CC, but having a good primar for warp ammo is way more efficient on big targets than BEs performed in AJA's rithm. Reave is excellent for this. You'll melt everything.

In all my justicaring I overlooked this....Acolyte to insta strip shield, pull with its insta cooldown and then reave...

Going to respec into a 66644 build...
