I recently installed Big hair pack. Could this be the problem?

 

 

How can I select a character when every time when I click "Select character" my game stop working?

It's possible the mod caused it.  Try removing it, and see if it stops crashing.  If it does, then try re-adding the hair, one piece at a time, and see if there's one specific hair that causes the crash.

Thanks. I tried that and didn't help. But then I tried to delete two created characters form localvault (the ones with new hairs) and that worked.

Is there any way to have mod and still be able to pick already created characters?

Well, I know it's possible, since I have that hair installed, and I created characters with several of the hairs, and I can select created characters without crashing.  I just don't know why it's happening with you.  Maybe it's because I used MDB Cloner to renumber the hairs so that they don't conflict with MotB?

Maybe. I didn't use that. What's MDB Cloner?

A small program that lets you rename NWN2 models, and/or change their textures.  In this case, it's used just to rename the hair models.

The reason you need the program is that just changing the filenames doesn't work;  you have to change the internal references inside the mdb files as well.
