Basically what the title says. I'm get maybe a grab every couple of games or less, and I'd like to finish the challenge off.
What a good map/enemy/difficulty for cover grabs?

Giant is really good for doing them and messing around with other stuff. You can farm them on dagger in a certain way though. I prefer Cerberus personally.

The control room on Giant, inside the door where the ramp is you can get some if you just remain butt-magneted to the little console area right there. Esp Geth, they'll just walk right up to it and you can grab them.
Otherwise, Ghost is a map I've gotten a lot on. Honestly it's more about awareness of when to do it than it is a specific map, imo.
Cerberus seems to be the most "grabby" of the factions ime.

I would use the Batarian Vanguard with Lash for getting Guardian shields and making them grabable as well plus he's a tank you shouldn't be able to get killed on Silver.

I found the top courtyard on giant, and dagger to be the best for me!! Geth or reapers are good for grabs, cerb are ok but collectors suck. At least that's how it is for me!!

If you're just farming the challenge and don't have any hang-ups about what difficulty you play on, Firebase White/Geth/Bronze. Just hang out in the control room downstairs. You can grab everything in the first few wave. Once it gets to be pyros and bombers, just mop up the game. Rinse and repeat. Easy 30-40 grabs per game.

My buddy E-hoss got over 50 grabs at white against cerberus, on bronze. He was soloing. He just hung out inside, at the lowest level. I don't think he fired a shot for the first 3 or 4 waves. He wanted to see how few games he could get the grab challenge in. The answer, for him anyway, was 4.
[edit] Grim beat me to it.

Dagger Silver is the best I've found, at the cover near the ammo box at the bottom area from the drop off zone. You get grabs but also get a lot of husks which are tough to get in the reaper objective and also you get your melees for grabs as well.

As I have posted before .. I got 73 grabs in one solo match Vancouver / Geth / Bronze .. I used a TGI so all I would have to do was focus on getting grabs .. no cover for shield restore etc.
Hang out by the extraction zones and grab all the enemies over the ducts there
It's absolutely simple w this set up

Firebase Giant is the best way to complete the Over-cover grab challenge; play vs. Cerberus or Collectors on Silver or Bronze, go to the control room, and sit behind the 2nd counter (the second one from the main door)- they'll come up the ramp and take cover behind the first counter, just waiting to be grabbed. When I did Combat Mastery I had the 2nd overcover grab challenge completed and needed the 3rd (250 grabs I think?)- it only took me 2 or 3 of these grab farm games, playing waves 1 and 2, to complete, was probably getting 20-30 grabs per game in 2 waves only.

FB Glacier (central control room) or FB White (lower room) seems to produce a lot of grab kills for me, play against Cerberus and just alternate between the covers, usually troops will jump your cover to get you, if you jump over to the side they were previously on, they'll conveniently be waiting for you to grab them ![]()
Use whatever kit you fancy on Bronze/Silver, for Gold I'd recommend someone with shield/health regeneration ability, that way you don't need to use any gels or ops pack if you suddenly get overwhelmed - all this assuming you'll be doing it in a private solo.
If you don't fancy playing solo, simply start the game solo but have your match setting as public, most of the time you won't get players straight away so you can farm waves 1&2, then just close out the game with whoever joins, a slightly more productive use of time because then you earn some credits too ![]()
I assume you're asking this because you're trying to complete the Combat Mastery challenge? If you haven't already completed the melee damage section, chances are you'll get all the grabs you need beforehand (from normal play), so there's no real need to farm, trust me on that lol

I used a duration-spec Shadow vs Cerberus on Giant, and just jumped back and forth over the low cover in the control room, grabbing people while in Cloak.
I'd deliberately bleed out after either Wave 3 or 6, depending, just because it's faster than finishing the game, and it took under half an hour to do the entire challenge on PS3 (not counting disconnects and freezes.)

I forget the name but the map where it has the snow alternate. Might be glacier. It's got the jet on the landing zone. Go Down the stairs and through the building to the very far corner of that map and get behind the cover blockade right next to the doorway. You should be able to see into the building and straight toward where they come down the outside stairs. Ammo crate is right next to you in case you need to shoot. Use that spot and let them come to you. Use cerberus for the easiest grabs. For the most points use the blizzard hazzard version. Probably could even do it on silver. That blows through them pretty fast. I know I was taking forever with them and decided to do that to just get it done. Silver was a bit more of a hassle at times because they don't always come to you. Basically it's a grind but the blizzard version add xp and it also doesn't matter because in that location there is no blizzard as you have an awning over your head.

Bronze/Glacier/Reapers.
just wait for husks.
I did Bronze/White/Geth.
Only Bombers, Pyros and Primes are not grabable, and those are few and far between. Make use of the infamous counter.

@Heldarion oops, thanks, I meant White, not Glacier. I tried Bronze first too but I couldn't get enemies to wander over fast enough.
Well, they typically do not want to approach the counter, in this case, you just need to jump over your counter and to the counters the Geth are hiding behind.
Something like HSol (shield regen skill) + Cyclonic IV makes sure you don't get hurt too much in the process.

Those crates on each of the four landings can easily get a handful in a match, as well as the small thin walls either side of most of the ladders down from the landings. Edit: enemies like collector troopers, centrions, nemeses, marauders... all like to take cover in these positions.
Can be awkward to get into the positions by the ladders though, what with the wonderful omni-button.
