What if the batarians actually don't have it?

nah. I think the leviathan was a reaper corpse, and the batarians found it and kept it for research. I then think maybe the Illusive man came in possession of it some how, or he came in possession of its technology, and that's what that book with the infusing of reaper technology into Sanders is. Or maybe the batarians still have it and are researching it to plan an attack. Or maybe you are right. I do not know. All just wild speculation!

Yes they have but nobody from Bw had given any speculation to what use or whereabouts of the leviathan at this point.

The Leviathan of Dis was just a small trivia that few people noticed and I doubt it will be mentioned

I hope that this^^^ isn't the case, because the Leviathan sounds really interesting.

Using small trivia as future important plot elements is a known device for some sagas (more recently Rowling's Harry Potter).

I liked reading the little planet stories, and this was one of my favorites, even though it was very short. Incredibly interesting, and I was suprised there was no in-game mention of this by anyone. No one even thought "maybe that was a reaper!"?

On some planet in the star system Dis, there is a story of a giant, organic ship "corpse" found by batarian scientists. Soon it was gone, and the batarians said it never existed. But salarian have proof of its existence, and the batarians still deny it. That is basically it in a nutshell.

I think the Leviathan was flavor text and will most likely not be seen anywhere in the trilogy.....I realize I am in some kind of minority on this opinion but....it is the correct one to have

sounds cool, i'll look it up. It wouldn't surprise me if it did appear, as grouchomarxist said, lots of series do stuff like that. Harry potter is a brillint example.

The Leviathan has so much potential though....could you imagine if the leviathan was organic..and the collectors were using it, but Shepard being the conversationalist that he is convinces the ship to turn on the collectors. EPIC!!!

We're still doing the whole "make threads that you can easily find if you learn to search" thing after all these years?

Tada. Already discussed, and not that long ago, either!

it wasn't  reaper corpse, the ship was organic and reapers don't use organic tech as far as we know.

We don't know anything about the reapers, they could very well be organic! My own belief is that they were the first space faring species in the galaxy, and become obsessed with power, eventually infusing themselves with machines and kept adding and adding until they become what they are now. Not sure about the whole "Wipe out civilizations every 50,000 years" thing though..

That's why i think it might be a collector ship....the thing just looks organic.

Well, at first glance I tought the Leviathan was a Reaper, maybe Sovereign. But, after reading the notes again it was clear that it wasn't a Reaper, beacuse Reapers are synthetic and the Leviathan was organic... yes, it could have something with the Collectors.

An organic status doesn't indicate sentience.

True....True, but if it wasn't sentient there would be no need to classify it as organic, just fleshy..lol.:P

There are plenty of organic animals and plants that are not sentient.  In fact I'd say the majority of organic life on Earth is non-sentient.  Mammals are about the only creatures so far with neural systems advanced enough for such things.
