Do you want canon/default armor

In DA:O there was no one set of armour, for each class which was significantly better than the rest. As such by the end most wardens wore different armour.

In DA2 however many Hawkes ended up wearing the same sets of armour, the mantle of the champion armour sets. And due to the fact that the "default" Hwke was a mage the "default" armour in most trailers, artwork, etc was the champion mage armour.

So in DA:I do you want a "pinnacle" armour set like in DA2 or do you want your want your inquisitors armour to be, relatively, unique to them.

Personally I hope for the latter. It made my my Warden seem more like an individual and different to most other wardens out there.

I wouldn't mind a default armor like that of the Champion. This also seems likely for an Inquisitor, to have 'The Inquisitor's Armor' as some default armor to have across all classes and races.

Though I wouldn't mind having it otherwise as well. It doesn't really matter all that much to me, so I'm fine with it either way.

I have no problems with an iconic armor set as long as there are plenty of other options AND they can be upgraded through the crafting system to be just as good/better than the iconic armor.

...I actually really like what I assume is the iconic Inquisitor armor. I hope it is equally cool for all classes.

Not really, I do not want a default/iconic armor a la DA2 Champion's Mantle. I'd much rather be encouraged to customize my character to look however I want. And based on what they've told us, that's what will get.

But at the same time, optional iconic decals would be cool. Like N7, but for the Inquisition. Or, something related to our background would be pretty cool as well.

Well i guess i have to bring this up.

Souls series. Like Dark Souls. Although i don't have a pleasure to play DS2 because of release date for pc, i must point out however, that in Dark Souls 1/2 you can use any armor you like and use any weapon. All of them are upgradeable, so you have your hands free to build themed characters, like Balder Knights for example or Artorias full set. and many others really. You can even play and do that very well with initial gear, even if it's just a rags.

So in DAO you could have some variety in armor and weapons for the end game. In DA2 however, you are very much stuck with the Champion set. Which is sad because in my opinion starter armor for a warrior class is the best looking armor in entire game.

So it would be really nice to have variety in weapons and armor in DAI, it also would be nice to have some customization options like - this armor is mine and mine alone. But... i don't know some of the features of the game is that players will have customization options for arsenal and keep.

You know in ME3 for exampe bonuses from different armor types are not that great(i mean do not have that much of impact on gameplay), so you can play the game with armor set you really like despite the fact that this particular set may not suit the class of your character.

More options is always welcome, and to be stucked with one and only armor set for endgame is not really fun.

Apologies; I'm on a smartphone so finding images is a bit difficult. You may have seen it though - it's the same armor the Inquisitor is wearing in the PAX/Digiexpo gameplay demo, AND on the bust models shown for the human, elf and dwarf Inquisitors.

Ah, I know the one your talking about. But later on in the PAX demo we saw the inquisitor switching it for another set, suggesting that it actually wasnt the best. Still no denying it was a damn good looking armour set.

If I had control I'd have ME style armor outfits, you can switch out bits and pieces, but there is a pretty limited pool and they are all more or less equal

I'd be ok either way, to be honest.

I really liked all the champion sets in DA2, and with Origins, (and I acknowledge) I'm probably in the minority here, all of my Wardens by Amell, ended up in the Warden Commander set from Wardens Keep DLC. Variety is great, though, so if there are various sets that offer the same level of bonus and look good, then I don't need a 'default'.

I want as much armor and weapons loot as possible. So, no to default armor. I have this feeling that the game will feature slightly more variety than DAII but not nearly enough when comparing to the big guys (DAO, Skyrim and basically every rpg prior to 2012 or so). I hope at least for the numbers which ME3 had, which is ridicilous as expectation, but then again i was hoping about many things.

I actually do. It adds a bit of character.

My mentality is that the armor is like a symbol, something that would say "This is the Inquisitor's armor, every time this armor appears on the battlefield, you know there would be some *ss kicking coming courtesy of Inquisitor and co."

I don't know, maybe have the default armor, but also have different armors that are just as good.

I wouldn't mind having an iconic armor set, but my problem with this in da2 is that all the other armors look like and are crap compared to the champion set. So assuming there is other armor options that are just as good and look just as kool, id be perfectly fine with having it.

Iconicism and variety both. I refuse to choose. B)

Skyrim pulled this off well.

How about Skyrim-ish armors? Hopefully they can be upgraded with race-specific abilities, I see the armor and weapon styles are very nice.

I'd rather have customizable armors like the orange sets in MMOs. That way I can just hold onto the armor shell that I like most, rather than being forced to swap it out for a set with better stats that I don't like the look of.

I don't really care. I wear whatever I want anyways even if the stats aren't the best. In DA2 I never wore the champion robes and instead wore the robes of unblemished cleanliness :3

Good thing for me we get to keep the look of whatever armor we want while upgrading the stats so there will be no "ultimate" armor.

I like iconic armor.

I don't think we've seen the default armors for the various classes in the game. We'll probably see them when the big trailers start splashing down.

I agree that there aren't enough good armor sets out there in DA2. (Unless the DLC packs have some ?) Mages have some good options, but for rogues I find it's best to go with the iconic sets, especially since those look pretty good on top of having good stats.

The DLC packs have some good ones actually.. but yeah, vanilla DA2 is lacking.

I like the armor from the dlc packs for DA2 especially for a mage. I would like to see armor like what Flemeth wore in DA2.

I really liked the armor in DA2, I just wish they had more options that were just as powerful in stats. That was the thing I disliked, the only time I was able to get better stuff was when I played MotA.

So, yes to iconic armor but as long as there's other options that are just as good, if not, better.
