Asari Commando Adept...I am fairly certain most of the people who play with me might attest that I already wield this character almost exclusively and quite..adeptly.

6 Stasis [Duration, Bonus Power, Bubble]
6 Warp [Detonate, Expose, Pierce]
6 Throw [Force, Detonate, Force & Damage]
5 Asari Commando* [Damage & Capacity, Headshots]
3 Fitness

Weapon: M-358 Talon X [Heavy Barrel V, Extended Magazine V]
Ammo: [variable based on faction] IV
Weapon: Pistol Rail Amp III
Armor: Adrenaline III or Shield Power Cells III (Cyclonics are for Platinum)
Gear: Geth Scanner V

 

I love this build and use it all the time, except with the Arc Pistol instead of the Talon.  Not that the Talon is bad, of course....

 

Anyway, if I only could use one class on Gold all the time, it would be the Krogan Soldier.  This is just a fun and versatile all-around Gold build.  You can play it well as a Claymore shooting class, as a Grenade spam class, or a melee class, without needing to re-spec all the time.  You can even switch play-styles in the middle of a match with the build I linked.  It's clearly not optimal for any of these things, but it does all of them well enough for Gold.

Human Engineer

--Geth Plasma Shotgun [insane DPS, deadly at short and long range, rapid multi-shot, chargeable when needed]

--No incinerate

--Drone with detonate, shock and chain evos [spam new enemies right before attacking, it will shock/stagger them almost like overload does. 

--Overload with chain, neural shock and shield damage [with that and the drone, 

--Alliance training with weapon damage, power damage [since the GPS has no headshot multiplier and weapon damage

--Fitness with health and shield maxed out

 

The GPS is an awesome gun.  It doesn't have "insane DPS" though - far from it, in fact.  BTW, if you're going to use a HE without Incinerate and you're going to use the GPS, you should try the Geth Engineer instead.  He has a pet, he has Overload, he has awesome movement speed, and his GPS hits a lot harder.

None. hardly play two games in a row without changing kit.

 

Yeah, this is where I'm coming from too, to the extent that I still have no idea what my 'best kit' is after 1200 hours.  BatSol is my most used kit, but I can never make my mind up about my favourite build.

 

The Human Engineer would definitely be a contender if I had to stick with one, because of the variety of viable builds.  I have 6 available to me, and funnily enough the only build I've settled on not liking is the OP's, skipping Incinerate.

 

But when I absolutely positively want to be sure that I'll be able to face whatever madness Gold PUGs may throw at me, I would find it hard to look beyond the Turian Sentinel, with the knowledge that I can try a few different, viable builds and use pretty much any weapon on him without ever getting bored.
