Well, I don't have to bother with that "Europe gets everything later"-bollocks anymore. At least not with Inquisition, as I'm in the US during the entire last five months of this year.
At least we don't have the same sh... pardon me, stuff going on as in the film-industry, where films take months to be released over here and then only in some crappy VO that I don't want to listen to because it makes me scratch out my eyeballs (that's the reason why I don't watch films in theatres).

Autumn has always gone through December. Seasons are generally marked by the Autumnal Equinox which is September 22nd this year until the Winter Solstice December 21st. However, I am sure that Bioware is using a business model to mark the seasons, meaning it will be what makes sense to the financial people!
I am going to guess end of November either 18th or the week after because it will be my reward for finishing Nanowrimo like the other games Bioware releases!

I'm not holding my breath for September or October.
Late November or even early December are the most likely imo. I'm thinking they'll want to stretch the "fall" timeframe as much as possible to give them as much time to polish the game as they can.

I'm sure once again we'll be shafted in Europe and have to wait until the Friday of whichever week it is, meaning 3 days of avoiding the internet entirely for fear of spoilers and dying of envy as all my US friends are 3 days in before I even have it. Bah!

You'd think they'd want release on a friday so people can quickly piay it over the weekend. Anyway nice work noticing this. As much as I want it to be released in september I expect it will be released in late November.
It's how most stores in the US get stock.
It took longer to stock shelves and get supplies so things were to arrive on Tuesday to make sure they have everything available on Friday.
It's how the music/VHS/DVD industry did it, so it's how the game industry does it, it is the way of things.
It happening with digital releases is just a hold over from brick and mortar stores.

It would be nice if it were in December though. More time worked on the game, and I can binge-play it over the holidays break!

October 7 would be brilliant, since its the day before my birthday. As long as they do a global release I'll be happy whenever they choose to release it - i.e. not the usual irritating North America on Tuesdays, UK/EU on Thursday/Friday nonsense.

November 4th
Just my guess, I think it is the prime week for sales and I think DAI is going to be distinct enough to go up against the inevitable Call of Duty game that will be out the same week.

I'll check gamestop.com later and see when big games are coming out. Then I'll make a list. That might narrow down some date choices.

It's presumably a long games, and one that targets a specific demographic (unlike games as assassin's creed and call of duty) and those tend to come out in September, so my bet would be one of the September dates. At least I desperately hope so..

Actually come to think of it, September makes a lot of sense, since the biggest AAA titles(especially annual releases) come out November and December, and an story-driven RPG, which takes up a lot of your time, will have a hard time competing with the "made-for-everyone" casual kind of games..

I previously said November 18th because it's my birthday, but I changed my mind. Seriously, any other week at all would be better than that. I hate buying a brand new game and then seeing it go on sale on Black Friday the very next week! ![]()

They have also said Q4 which eliminates September.
