It'll be on either Funday or Sadderday, depending on how many gigs of patches there are on Day 1.

Do we have to wait in Europe even if we are digitally buying/downloading the game through Origin?

I think you would indeed have to wait. With there still being retail copies of games it would ruin that market even more if you would be able to get the game digitally before the retail copies are able to be sold.

CoD is a completely different type of game. And if Bioware needs to avoid the month of November because of other games they aren't too confident in their own product.

I'm guessing late October to mid November. That's enough time for the early adopters to get it, then the first wave of Christmas shoppers come through. You don't want to release it too early that season or the launch hype dies off before the casual Christmas shoppers enter the market.

Yes there not the same but cod makes a lot of money when its comes out and it might get overshadowed by the cod hype they would get more money early on if it comes out in september or october

And these stupid shenanigans are the reason why people use TPB.

The retail release date is irrelevant, no one will buy a digital and retail copy at the same time.

Any of these is fine for me. I've completed my honours degree, so I've got metric buttloads of free time, at least until I find a job. Which I hopefully will before October.

If I had to make a guess, I'd go with September, based on the Follower Friday info. Because they've said they won't be revealing all the companions before release with this. So we have March, April, May, June, July, August...That's six months of FFs. If they didn't use Cassandra or Varric in them it'd be revealing all the ones we 'don't know' yet, save for one since Vivienne took March.

But this is on the guess that they're keeping Follower Friday until month before game release and they won't just stop it when they feel they've revealed enough. So I'm hopeful for September, but I'm gonna go ahead and expect October.

Yeah, that actually makes a ton of sense.

December 16th?

That means we are going to play DAI in 254 days or less. Different release dates can only improve the countdown!  :wizard:

October keeps getting tossed around as a theory.

October 28

Two weeks after Batman: Arkham Knight.

Perfect date IMO, unless Ubisoft decide to launch Assassin's Creed: Unity that same day, ugh...

That does seem like a good pick. I'll second that.

Sept 23 and Oct28 plz biower

September is the easiest college month, and the end of October and early November are good too since midterms just ended and I have about a week to 10 days before melting again.

Thats a good time. Thats a huge release and you want to try and space things out a bit.

AssAssIns Creed has usually been a November release as far as I can recall, although I didn't play AC4

Its a marketing thing. COD is tough to compete against and its why basically it gets its own week for release and no one else even touches it.

Hard to out-hype it and you'll likely miss out on the casual sales, which regardless of hardcores opinions, are very important.

I'm thinking and hoping for October 21st or 28th. And off-topic, Mass Effect 3 should of been December 4, 2012 and DA2 should of been August 2012.

LOL, that'd be funny if gaider popped in and was like:

"Eh, We like to have Wednesdays off every once and a while..."

I think this is exactly what will happen.

Now, in a more serious fashion... Unless there's a really good reason for choosing Tuesday, say "it's when the planets in the entire system align and that makes people want to play videogames", I think it might be a little far-fetched.

But I like the spirit. xD
