Figured since everyone else had a thread, our dear Morrigan should also deserve one. Even if she isn't a companion.

 

So, anyone else excited over meeting Morrigan again after, like 4 years? I sure am, and I am dying to interact with her and what she has to offer to the table, both what she has been doing and the kind of influence she will have to the Inquisitor and the story. While she may not be a party member she will--according to the devs--have a major role in the game (which IMO is the better choice).

My human male noble Warden was a bit of a cad and was simultaneously 'romancing' Morrigan and Leliana. He also did the dark ritual, but chose not to follow Morrigan through her magical mirror.

I'm extremely excited to interact with Morrigan again.

 

Besides being one of the most interesting characters in DAO, she was also my LI in 99% of my playthroughs. 

 

I think Morrigan's role will be crucial to the plot, judging from Flemeth's importance in the previous games.

 

If she's an antagonist, I hope we can spare her.

Morrigan is one of my favorite characters in the series, but if she is the antagonist I'd probably have the Inquisitor kill her. Since the Inquisitor isn't the Warden, and I won't let my DA:O playthrough impact the Inquisitor's decisions. And I'm going to very loosely base the Inquisitor on Stannis Baratheon.

I'm planning on doing that too. Though it'll be hard as hell to do. If my Inquisitor butts heads with Morrigan, or doesn't like Leliana's Chantry meddling I'm going to kill them. They were the Warden's friends, not the Inquisitor's.

Most certainly!She's my all time favourite female DA character.I can't wait to meet her in Inquisition see how her character evolved and in what way her friendship with my main warden shaped her,and what role she plays in the world changing events that take place in this game.Gotta love that witch of the wilds!

I'm hoping that the Hero of Ferelden's decision to leave everything behind and join her (and their son) into the Eluvian to the place "beyond this world, and beyond the Fade" is respected. I can see the former Warden-Commander helping Morrigan bring change to the world, since she made it clear in the Dragonbone Wastes that she had a plan, and that it involved her son (assuming the Dark Ritual was enacted). I'm also hoping that she's not going to be pigeonholed into the role of a villain, however. It would be a shame if the storyline in Inquisition simply put a black hat on Morrigan and villified her goal.

I think with Morrigan, I'm most interested with all the variables with her character. Obvious stuff like the OGB/regular baby and the stabby stab, but what if she loved the Warden, fathered his child AND got stabbed at the eluvian?

I as well am hyped over reuniting with my one true romance option and one of my favorite woman in a video game that I have played. But I'm also concerned over how she will be handled in Inquisition, whether or not BW will manage to do justice to her character after all these years. Guess we just have to wait and find out. 

 

Oh, and with rumours that Leliana (and other DA:O companions) will make an appearance, I can't wait for the banter that will possibly occur with each other.

I'm really hoping that my Warden's decision to travel through the Eluvian to be with her and their son has some impact. I mean, I know the Hero vanishes no matter what, but I'd like to see something. Maybe people accusing the Wardens of abandoning duty if the most famed one defects for "some woman". I already know that your Warden's friendship/romance with her will impact her personality, which is nice.

 

Besides that, I'm glad to see Morrigan again. She was one of my favorite characters, and I'm looking forward to what Bioware has in store for her.

 

As long as she doesn't just drop some mysterious hints about Flemeth again. I want to know what's going on, dang it, not be even more confused.

I like Morrigan, she always had an interesting perspective (kinda like Flemeth).  Very curious so see what role she will play.

I am indifferent and untrusting in regards to the Morrigan. 

 

Much more interested in what hand she's holding in this world shattering event. I wouldn't be surprised if she had something to do with it all.

I can not wait to meet her again.  I loved her companion banter, and even if she isn't a party member, it will be great to see her impact on the game (along with the child that most of my playthroughs had).

To be honest, I'm not really excited about her being in it. She was definitely one of my lesser liked companions in Origins.

Same, I mean, she's a Dragon Age icon - not as much as Flemeth is, but still up there considering. I think what's more exciting than anything is just seeing an original character from the first game for me, I feel the same excitement about Leliana (if not more)

New Morrigan looks alright to me. They've softened her graphics a bit, but it seems like a very faithful rendition of the character.

I get the feeling she is going to do Flemeth's job and be the reason you survive the sundered veil event, among other things.

I hope not. I want Flemeth to rescue the Inquisitor from certain death after they have slain their first Ogre. We have to keep the tradition.

I love that she is back and wearing a dress! I hope we can finally get the chance to figure out what the dark ritual was reallly about and i hope i get to see that little rugrat running around pestering her because i have a hard time imagining her as a mother, i think she would turn him into a turtle or something just so she can have some peace.
