I think one of the big reasons that DA2 covered 10 years was because the devs needed to give Morrigan (and her child, if she has one) time to grow. I really want to know where she went with the Warden. I also hope her seemingly ongoing war with Flemeth plays a major part in Inquisition. I could see Morrigan trying to manipulate the Inquisitor into thinking Flemeth was one of the reasons for the veil tear (which she may or may not be) and getting him/her to go do her dirty work just like the Warden did.

I wouldn't have missed her had she been excluded, but I'm not really upset she's around. I'd be a nice way to reflect my Warden-Commander's actions if her old wound pains her.

I never quite understood why everyone loves Flemeth and Morrigan so much. They were,by far,the least interesting characters of the series for me.
Seriously,Flemeth is nothing more than the overplayed "Cryptic Trickster" stereotype.
As for Morrigan,i could predict almost everything she would do/say the first time i played DA:O,which disappointed me greatly, since i was surprised at least once by every other companion(Though most of them several times^^).All just my opinion of course.
Despite all that i am actually kinda interested in her Inquisition appearance, since i suspect that her personality will change greatly depending on your actions in Origins.
Makes me wish i had a few playthroughs where my characters didnt knife her...Even in the one playthrough i specifically made so i would be in good graces with her for Inquisition she managed to give my character a reason to stab her.....goddammit Morrigan.

I know she wont be companion, but what about temporarily taking control of her at certain points of the game?

Very curious to see how The Hero...is treated, given many of us followed Morrigan through the mirror. By all rights he should be by her side...unless they kill him off to make things easy on themselves. Which would be kind of lame. Pretty excited to see in which direction they take her arc. Is she savior or destroyer...or a bit of both?

I'd like to hear her bring up things about the warden, like in DA2 with Leliana.
"You're the apostate that helped slay the archedemon? Is it true you and the warden..."
"We were...close once. Foolish man."

You never saw her die. She stumbled back through the mirror, and probably received healing on the other side. She's probably thoroughly unhappy with the warden or warden-commander, then.

The way she talks in WitchHunt, while it seems she knew that something was going to happen, doesn't mean she caused it to happen. Even Flemith talked about a huge event was going to happen, in the middle of the blight, and if that wasn't the big event means that something bigger was going to happen.
I mean, it would be like someone predicting the last few major natural disasters, its not like said person would be able to prevent it.

I wonder what her agenda is this time around....

The trick with any returning character is not remembering what happened in Origins but coming at it afresh. The Inquisitor will not know her (I assume), so unless Lelianna suddenly pops up and says "I'd watch her if I were you", they would have to take her at face value. That said, my Wardens never wholly trusted Morrigan right from the off. It was something about her attitude at that first meeting. So unless she's improved her people skills over the years, I'll probably still be wary about believing anything she says, even wearing an Orlesian ball gown.

I'm trying to get my excitement under control after the debacle with Miranda, but I guess I can't contain it. I *am* very excited to see her again. She's my favorite DA character by far and was my main Warden's LI. I don't expect that to be a big factor in DAI's story, and that's very much OK with me. My appreciation for her is not rooted in it.
While some aspects of her attitude would profit from a little adjustment, I just hope the writers won't soften her too much. I'm really sick of my favorite characters becoming typical good girls in the end. And of course it's always the women who are affected that way. "Character development" for a woman apparently always means to become softer and more empathic. With Leliana we had a choice where to take her, which I appreciated so much that it's hard to find words to express it, but this time we can't plausibly claim any agency.

when she was a Li in my play-throughs, i always followed through the mirror... more than likely she will make an appearance and if she does reference the warden, she will say something to the effect that hes working behind the scenes to further her plan or something.... and might show up later with impeccable timing

I liked Morrigan in DAO but then in Witch Hunt she acted like all we'd been through together had never happened and just said "Peace out, fool."
Terrible ending to a love story if you ask me. I kind of hope she dies soon so we don't need to see her continually reappear in DA stories, always with the same role.

Come to think of it, since the warden disappears one way or the other I wanna know what happens to them at the end of Witch Hunt if they didn't go through the mirror. What exactly was in that book she left them? ![]()

I'm looking forward to seeing her again, the playthrough's that I'll be using in DAI both involve the OGB, my Human Noble cheated on Leliana with Morrigan for the ritual and parted as friends with her in Witch Hunt, my Dalish Elf romanced her and went with her through the Eluvian.
I suspect that the Veil Tears are primarily a result of Morrigan crossing back into Thedas from where ever she'd been, either that or she used the Tears to cross back over.

I suspect the Veil Tears are caused by Morrigan's ruthlessly self-consumed attitude and disposition.

I remember being intimidated by her on my my first playthough and from then on, I was hooked on this character and curious about both her's and Flemeth's story. Glad to see them both back.
What with the recent Cullen information and fan reaction (good on them by the way) If Morrigan says only one nice line, and cast a single smile in their direction during the whole course of DA:I, I think the Inquisitor in my game will consider that as a romance.
The feeling of unrequitedness (?) is going to hit hard.

I wonder if the different levels of friendship/romantic affection will have a consequence in Inquisition. If the Keep allos the player to set them in the transfer, then we could end up witnessing different reactions from Morrigan.

I'm a much bigger Flemeth fan than Morrigan (if anything, I'd rather see her mother), and don't bother with the Dark Ritual. I've suppressed most of Morrigan's actions through DAO. But I'm curious how she plays a part in anything. I wonder if in some storylines, she may just be part of the Orlesian court or something.

Ok, am I the only one who actually wanted Morrigan to be a part of the companion party? Morrigan was, by far, my favorite female character and with the news that she will not be a companion has lessened my enthusiasm for DAI, especially after the opening intro video.

I am happy she is back, I am looking forward how she has change into since she is older now and her reactions on the world opinion depending in your actions from DA:O and also very curious how is the warden and their child if he romanced her and had a child with her and follow her through the portal.
