I'm very curious how she and the Warden may act when they meet Flemeth again. I mean, does the Warden know he didn't really kill Flemeth and that she lives on? Or did I miss something? Does Morrigan know about Flemeth's "resurrection"? I already imagine Flemeth meeting my Cousland, Morrigan and their child: "Well, well, what have we here?" And who is the child?

I'm also very interested in Morrigan's origin. Who are her parents? How did she end up with Flemeth? Or did I miss something again? Can't remember Morrigan telling that... Hope DAI will tell us more.

Can't wait for her to return. After all, she was the reason I dyed my hair dark brown :D (she and Rowan Guerrin inspired me, since I didn't want to look like Katriel with green eyes and blonde hair. Ahhh Dragon Age, what have you done to me...)

first

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm morrigan

second

i think she and flemmeth are in cahoots in something and that morrigan KNEW her actions wouldn't really kill flemmeth, but just give morrigan some time to do whatever her part is.

I don't think Morrigan will be evil. In my playthrough my Warden romanced her and went through the portal. Now she loves the Warden for sure and doing something bad intentionally will be equivalent to betraying him. What will be interesting is to see what new abilities Morrigan gained after reading Flemeth's grimoire. will it includethe ability to turn into a dragon. (How cool would that be?)? One thing for sure is that she will be a lot stronger than what she was in Origins

I suspect that the Veil Tears are primarily a result of Morrigan crossing back into Thedas from where ever she'd been, either that or she used the Tears to cross back over.

I thought the Veil tear resulted from the Mage Templar rebellion with lots of mages resorting to extreme means to win the war.

I thought the Veil Tear resulted from the Mage-Templar rebellion with lots of mages resorting to extreme means to win the war.

That's my understanding of it, though there are hints that some greater entity is behind it.

Morrigan immediately reveals to the Warden in Origins that Flemeth did not die outright just after he comes back from killing herand that he only succeededin delaying her plans.

I think it would really suck if Morrigan appears but the Warden doesn't since my PC went with her throught the Eluvian.

And I think it would suck if the Warden appeared because he's 100% sure to look completely unlike my Warden and there's some chance he'll act out of character on top of it.

So I'd like to hear of him or to have Morrigan speak of him, but I don't want him to appear in person.

I doubt it is that simple. There's mention of there being "Agents of Chaos" who are causing all this bloodshed and chaos to happen to open the Veil for some unknown reason.

I'm surprised her thread isn't larger by now, I always thought she was a fan favorite

There is no clique talk in this thread (which keeps the various Cullen threads alive). Morrigan is a known quantity character wise and people have been talking about her being in Orlais since DAO came out, so there isn't much new under the sun other than visual differences.

I guess that we can't romance her in DAI keeps both the amount and the quality of the traffic at an acceptable level. Thankfully, my appreciation for her never depended on the romance, though I liked it in DAO.

She was my least favorite to bring with me on most playthroughs only because I played often as diplomatic, but I really liked her. As I've said before, she's a Dragon Age icon to me. I guess I just expected more hype, even if we know a little more about her appearing in DA:I than before.

I hope we get to see her use magic/her in combat

Anyone remember the dowager entry in Mark of the Assassin?  I wanna say the entry says the dowager has been hanging around for several decades and several monarchs.  Otherwise, it occurs to me she could almost be Morrigan's Orlesian identity.

After my first playthrough, I metagamed and kept her out of situations where I thought her disapproval makes no sense. There are only two of those though, both of them in the Redcliffe story arc IIRC.

While reading The Masked Empire, there were several characters mentioned who I thought could be her. I'm not through yet, but I guess had she really appeared, I wouldn't have been able to avoid the spoilers.

I feel that not making her a companion in DA:I is better. Then she serves to be a mysterious charcter with unknown intents (like Flemeth). Also she may have become too powerful (way out of the Inquisitor's league) to bea companion.

I agree.

"Power out of the Inquisitor's league" may be a little problematic though. After all we're called to deal with the Veil tears, fighting demons and dragons on the way. Hard to match that in sheer badassery. Meanwhile, unfortunately that doesn't mean much to me, I'd rather have her knowledge and less badassery. And the ability to turn into a dragon of course ;).

I wonder what will happen if someone stabbed her during the final scene in witch hunt.

Well, considering the habit of dead characters reappearing, probably she will just joke about it, or claim that she was only mostly dead or something.

Morrigan didn't die from that scene, which I believe the developers commented on when "Witch Hunt" was initially released; it's not similar to the situation with Leliana or Oghren coming back from the dead. I'm sure the stabbing might have an impact on her disposition, although I'm also hoping that the Hero of Ferelden who chose to leave everything behind and join her will also have ramifications; I could see The Warden's disappearance being tied to Morrigan and her plan if the ex-Warden-Commander chose her.

i dont think the dowager would be morrigan, if anyone i could see it being flemeth...  It just seems to me like morrigan, ever since we found the grimoires, recently gained the knowledge to oppose flemeth... so it would make sense that their battle has been going on since origins, not prior

I love that she is back and wearing a dress! I hope we can finally get the chance to figure out what the dark ritual was reallly about and i hope i get to see that little rugrat running around pestering her because i have a hard time imagining her as a mother, i think she would turn him into a turtle or something just so she can have some peace.

Now I'm picturing the utter adorableness of her teaching the child to shapechange. And being quite pleased with both the family time and the potential for peace. Lol

I think it would be really neat to potentially see Warden and Champion cameos where WE can control our old character!!

I doubt it'll happen but i love the idea

I would have loved to have Morrigan back as a playable character that could join the party. The mysterious non player witch role is being held down by Flemeth...now there are two in, essentially, the same role. Obviously I do not have all the intel on what role Morrigan plays, but it I would have peaked my interest more to have her as a companion once again. Feels like a major let down, but the DAI leadership was wise to let this cat out of the bag now so fans like me can process it before the game finally arrives.

Morrigan's Return

Having romanced Morrigan on my first play through and going through the Eluvian at the end of Witch Hunt, I am really looking forward to her return in Inquisition.

She is one of my Favourite characters from Dragon Age, or from any game I've ever played for that matter.

Morrigan - Hopes

I just hope that BioWare stays true to her character and the actions that were taken by My Warden in Origins. A reference or appearance from My Warden and the Child would be a delight, especially if they all shown together.

* The main thing I hope does not happen, is that Morrigan is made into a villain - I doubt this would happen but you never know. *

Now all that is left to say is... Roll On Inquisition! (This Wait is Excruciating)

what if our warden  or hawke return to say die in an amazing way that gives us and morrigan enough time to finish something huge? Maybe  we help the trio do somethinge huge or stop flemeth in a monumentyal battle? Not to say kill flemeth but you get the idea im sure. The warden/hawke could be  hooded/helmed to solve the "looking like mine" issue an maybe class etc could be chosen in the new  dragon age keep.
