I believe I've managed to replicate and understand your problem.

 

You are too far to the left.

 

It's that simple.

 

Turns out that if you're too far to the left, the Husks DO go around.

So far it looks like you're right. On my failed attempts I was almost to the very right, but not entirely. Now I've pressed myself to the very far right, and did go on Husk grabbing spree. Now the only time they come around is when there's a crowd of more than 1 Husk / Cannibal / Marauder that block each other and don't move, so the incoming Husks are forced to come around. Sadly, that happens pretty often.

 

Update: second attempt - was able to complete wave 1, no Husk went around Would continue through W2 if it wasn't for Brute.

Do Husks keep coming eternally on W1 if I don't kill Marauders / Cannibals?.. There's nowhere near 75 kills to be had on W1 like you had in the video.

Not sure about that spot with reapers but I think if you're only for grabs then a bronze giant Cerberus nets you grabs quite quickly. And you need to be a bit more active so it doesn't get too boring and practically everything is grabbable. The control room provides excellent distance between the low covers and all you need to do is run back and fro, sliding over cover and grab. I could never reliably make enemies come to a grab position by themselves.

Not nearly as easy as you make it look like, I don't understand how you do it. Had to restart 9 or 10 times before I could get 5 grabs in one rounds, but then still one Husk made it over the obstacle even though I was mashing the melee button and I got swarmed. So my best result out of 10 games is 10 or 11 kills. I think it depends heavily on where they spawn.

 

If you use Valkyrie with small radius annihilation field it slows the husks enough so they don't jump over. If they do manage to get around you they'll just stand there until the field kills them. When all the marauders go berserk at the end of the wave and belly up to the cover you can stagger them back into grab distance with tech armor. I use this on White all the time. You may lose some grabs to AF, but not many.

 

If you use large radius AF it stops the husks outside of grab range.

When I've done this I've favored the following setup:

 

Cabal for the shield boost and the need for an occasional escape via Poison Strike.

 

Falcon to stagger husks if they are too close to each other or to eff with the mauraders.

 

Cryo ammo once or twice to really slow them down.

I used the lower section of FB White to farm grabs, but your setup seems even easier.

I literally feel some actual love for you for this.... it's taken me forever to get 3 grabs.... 3! And I spent a little time on it today and already have around 100.... tyvm

I told my buddy about this we did a duo where he hid there and grabbed everything that could be grabbed while I killed the armoured enemies he had a blast lol

I told my friend about it too, I've suggested the same thing to help him get it as I managed to get all 250 today as well as finally completing biotic mastery, lol.... (I love the tech tbh) Did it work pretty fast for your buddy?

Yeah, he went from a handful of grabs to getting grabs 2 I think we'll prob do another couple runs tomorrow so both of us can get grabs 3

I've been working on Challenges recently, using characters I've never really bothered with before. So hopefully I didn't embarass myself.

I decided to try this out a few hours ago.

 

On X-box at least, I suspect that something is glitchy in that corner, as I frequently saw husks running backwards, facing to my right while they were moving to my left, which was a *little* odd. 

 

Also, I was able to sponge multiple cannibal grenades, taking either zero damage or so little that the shield gauge didn't move at all.

 

I already knew that you could sponge attacks while performing cover grabs, but I was even sponging grenades when I hadn't performed a grab for a few seconds, I'd get the incoming grenade indicator, a flash, a bang, and some screen-shake, but no effect on my shield bar.

 

Marauder and cannibal bullets were still doing normal damage, so I wasn't glitched into invulnerability or anything odd like that.

 

Usually I'd just blame lag, I've seen stranger.  On host lag?

This happened to me... they do still make it over to the *correct* spot for grabbing though, lol.... 
 

The grenade glitch is awesome! It's like the grenade lands on the wrong side of cover, almost....

Perhaps grenades get more than a 40% damage boost when players are out of cover?  That could explain what you're seeing.

Oniganon OP.

I just realized I have never ever got more than 2 grabs in any of my games. in my 330 games I have a total of 34 grabs loool

Thanks for the vid, Oni. Worked like a charm, got my 50 missing grabs and completed Combat mastery in 15 min.

I hate when one subchallenge is lagging behind the others (looking at you, guardians, husks, abo, bombers).

Thanks for this OP, in my 678 games played up to this point I had managed to get 32 grabs!

 

In just an hour I went from 32 to 118, another hour long sessions and I should just about do it. I never thought I would get this challenge and looks like now I will. Amazing and actually super fun to do
