I think your definition of 'throwing' might be off.
At most each of them made like, one comment to me? I've played multiple times and done a run through with both genders.
Yeah.........that's not going to happen.
At best you'll get a number of bi characters you can romance as the same sex and have one confirmed gay romance for your s/s character.
its a wish that is not yet ready to be realize by many developers ,i do know . the right time will come eventually ,i just wanted to know how many people appeal to the idea like me ... .
am yet counting on this "number" of characters tho , giving a little check on the outted characters for now (speaking about the males) there is yet none who looks appealing to be romancing with ...i mean between the qunari and the bald elf ...and varric !come one x( ..so yes ,i do hope i will have a number of characters as a choice; a number of "beautiful" (if hot as Anders or like fenris and nathaniel is too much to say) kind of characters.

In order: DHMG, Cullen, Grey Warden, Varric, Iron Bull, Cole, and Solas.
Since Cole is confirmed out as an LI, there is literally no combination that would give me no guys who I don't find attractive. I'm kind of bracing for the fact that Solas is going to end up as one of my choices, but even if the other option is Iron Bull, I'd be happy. Best case scenario would DHMG and Cullen, though.

They know about it, just like they know about the very small number that want such an option. It most likely will never be the priority.

While it will always a remain a niche market and will probably never be recognized evenly across the industry, there are two points to made: 1.) it's a growing market, so there will be increasing attention payed towards s/s representation; and 2.) there are some developers (like Bioware) who have decided to overtly pay attention to this, so I expect to see particularly excellent content in those game.
about this Anders subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) “I want to jump your bones” vibe behind his dialogue when we choose a diplomatic or sarcastic hawke who has anders in friendship

It seems to me the answer is a resounding yes. Anders is always in love with hawke even when un romanced . Even if you romance another character, during the Justice quest in Act 3, Anders will confront Hawke about his/her love interest of choice. He generally insinuates that Hawke deserves someone better, the implication being he’s talking about himself. He also has banters with just about every love interest where he makes his jealousy more or less explicit.
So yes, Anders always loves Hawke. I’d go so far as saying—whether reciprocated or not—Hawke is the love of Anders’ life. Which really makes his story that much more tragic.
Here’s a character who has never been allowed to love, who’s been repeatedly abandoned by his family and possibly by lovers, who finally falls in love. If it’s reciprocated, great. He has everything he’s ever wanted. Only he realizes some things matter more than his life, and he’s willing not only to sacrifice himself, but to break the heart of someone he cares about. I think when you have a character who’s literally at war with himself, who has to choose between two things he loves and cares for, it’s a very compelling drama. That’s why my Hawkes will personally always romance him. It makes it that much more tragic and emotional. But it’s still effective even if Hawke romances another character, because Anders’ feelings are just as strong.
Incidentally, this is another reason why I personally don’t care for Fenders (fenris/hawke) . Anders swore off romance and sex and love in general. Hawke is the only person that breaks through these barriers he built since his possession. In my mind, it cheapens the impact of that if he were to fall in love with just anyone. But that’s my own sense of drama and my personal interpretation. Certainly this is one aspect of characterization that’s open for debate.

i went to see how that cole was , very cute haha !! i didnt know about him ! *drop a big reliving sigh* . Even if he look a little boyish for me....oh whatever we'll see how he'll turn out ! i see him all cute and angsty like fenris !
ooooh but Cullen indeeed is a fine deal ! and whats more i loved how he stood against meredith in the end !!! he seemed like a fallen templar for me ...
might i know whats DHMG means? also,that leave but solas ....its gonna be a no for me sorry >< , i just...can't ,he's too bald for me oh gosh why !! tho he looks cool ! that all ! we still doesnt have a face on the grey warden right ? hope its gonna be someone like hawke ...oh if only hawke was back...it will means Anders will be back with him (in my case) and i would just drag them everywhere with me watching them be lovey dovey.... *sigh* i must snap out of the fade ... tho if they could recreate someone like Anders looks ...it would be at least reconforting

Having an equal distribution of LIs with set preferences is okaaaaaaaaaaay, but I would much rather that all romanceable characters be available to everyone, regardless of gender. That way, everyone has as much chance as possible of finding someone they like.

Making everyone bisexual feels - for me - somehow awkward and the credibility of the charakter-personalities suffer from it. One or two, okay - but not all of them.

So, bisexuality doesn't weaken a character's personality any more than any other sexuality would.
Also, being straight (or not) isn't a "right" and fictional characters have no rights anyway. They are what the writers decide they are. In DA 2, the writers decided that 4 out of 5 of the LI's were bisexual. In DA: O, they decided that two were straight and two were bisexual. In DA: I, we aren't sure yet, but it sounds like some will be straight, some bisexual, and some gay. A variety of sexualities allows the writers to explore storylines that they feel are unique to a character with a particular sexuality. I'm fine with them making this decision specifically because it will likely lead to our first openly gay male LI companion. But, if they decide to have 4 bisexual LI's in DA 4, it would not lead to their personalities suffering unless the writer decide to do that through poor writing.

I know how you feel; it's like the artists went out of their way to create some odd-looking guys (bald? pervy mustache? pinhead guy?). Cullen is the only one who fits the same mold as guys like Alistair, Anders, etc. And now they're limiting our choices even more. Greeeeeat. So there's a huge chance you'll get stuck with someone you don't find appealing at all, like on any level.

Well, to be fair, what they have said was (in response to a question about LIs) that there would be straight, gay, and bisexual characters. People, including me, are assuming that this was in reference to LI's given the context.
We still don't know how many LI's there will be, but the consensus is that there has to be at least 5 in order to give everyone an option in LI and still have a variety of sexualities. Most people seem to assume that it's going to be a 2/2/2 split with 1 straight, bisexual, and gay LI of each gender, but others have correctly pointed out that it could also be something like a 1/3/1 split with a straight, bisexual, and gay LI of one gender and two bisexual LIs of the other gender. This would still fit the criteria that we know: variety of sexualities and everyone is getting a choice in LI.
I'm thinking that, given that Cullen is an NPC who will almost certainly be either straight or bisexual AND the overabundance of male characters, it's looking more and more likely that we will see three male LI's. If that's the case, then I think it's also pretty likely that both of the remaining guys will be companions and, hopefully, that one of them will be gay. Hence, our first openly gay male companion.
Crossing my fingers that it's happening. It's about time. Out of the 60 LI's across the 10 Bioware games with romance, there has only been 1 gay male (Steve). That's 1.6% of the LI population that's a gay male. Where are the "realistic demographics" people to complain about that statistic.....? Even the most conservative statistics that I've seen put the lowest percentage of self-reported and openly gay people at about 4%. Some more liberal statistics have that number up closer to 10%.

I think I agree, I like the idea of having characters who may not want to romance my character and characters who are interested. I would love more options, but the 2/2/2 deal will work for me for now. I really just like a variety of characters I can pretend to believe exist in that weird universe they gave me.
Whether or not I like the options for my female character or not, I'll cope. Though i hope there is a friendship road for most of them. I really did love what they did with Sam and Steve.
As far hotness, that's going to be much more complicated, since everyone has their own idea of hotness. A good voice helps a lot. Probably more important, for me, than the looks, otherwise Garrus would not have been a choice I'd have made. 
I have liked Fenris, Kaidan, Alistair, Jack, Zev, Bastila, Carth, Sky, Merrill, Anders, well, all of them really, but DA2 had so many issues. I know people complain about the "dead spouse/child/distrust" background, but I'll take that any day over the Fenris one night stand feeling and the guilty feeling I got letting Anders live. <sigh> But they are all interesting characters and I think, I'll have to settle for that, untill there is a game out there where you can design your character and your LI. That might be interesting.
Man...our male LI will probably be DHMG, Cullen, and Solas and Solas is the only one that is even remotely appealing to me of the three. Why not Beardy Warden, Varric, and Iron Bull? T_T

Indeed! Maybe all of their personalities will be so extremely fabulous that we will end up loving them all? I hope so. I thought Garrus was a weird and offputting choice when they announced he'd be a LI but he ended up being one of the best romances. Same thing with Thane, I thought "the guys get a bunch of sexy human or mostly human looking girls and the girls get a frog-monster and a dinosaur, wtf?!" But I ended up loving him as a character and loving his romance arc.

That's what happened in DAO! I was not attracted to Zevran at all! Not his personality or his appearance! In DA2 I thought initially you would only get to romance Anders as a male PC and was very pleasantly surprised that Fenris was also an option! He was more to my taste and it was nice to have choice!

Same here! My fear is that us gay males are going to get stuck with him like we were with Zevran! Well, I shouldn't say we since I only speak for myself! Personally I'd like to be able to pick a partner, not go "well he's the only gay option so..."
Solas may end up being a great character, but from what I've seen so far he doesn't appeal to me! I'd love to have the freedom to choose!

I completely agree. It's why I just can't support the "DA: O model for romance". I found it very unfair that I didn't get a choice where other players did. It was particularly bad because I also found Zevran very unattractive in both ways as well. I'm not a skinny, long-haired elf lover, in general, and that was compounded by the fact that he was clearly more interested in sleeping around (with women, particularly). Just not what I am looking for in an m/m option. It's not that he shouldn't be an m/m option, mind you, just that I would like to have a choice of someone else.
DA 2 was slightly better in that I got a choice, but they weren't really the best choices, imo. I'll never complain about that choice, mind you. However, Anders is pretty whiny (and again with the longer hair!) and Fenris is a skinny angsty elf. I've romanced both and, while I prefer Fenris's romance in general, I think an Anders romance with my moderate male mage Hawke is a better story.
I'm really hoping for DHMG (the guy in my avi), Cullen, Iron Bull, or the Bearded Warden for the m/m options in DA: I. Although, I'm bracing for Solas, given that he's a skinny elf and that's been my luck so far.....
