I agree with karushna that there should be what she listed. Which im pretty sure inquisition will be.

Modding a game is definitely not the same thing, and takes away from characters that was made. I play on console more now cause its cheaper than a pc build.

A mod I wouldn't mind doing is making hair bounce, water look more realistic, plants sway from heavy rain and wind. Mostly aesthetics in general and nothing else, Skyrim has those from what my friend talks about.

Yeah debated that one. I think Thane would be straight more because I have never seen guys have any interest in him, and it must be an annoying romance for a guy to have to hear about their love's ex wife. And also I am annoyed that any "gay story" centers around sick people dying.

And then Garrus and Jacob I kept switching around, but at least Jacob wont get random girl pregnant if he were gay, and thus free up the romances so he could get more characterization. And it seemed really annoying if he left a guy because he got a girl pregnant. So gay he became.

Putting aside my personal wishes and wants, I think Cassandra will be bisexual and Sera will be straight. It seems more plausible to me that straight male PC's will have a choice between two companions (in this case, one non-human and one human).

But more than that, the reason for my belief in this scenario is also because I can't wrap my head around the logic of announcing two LI's at PAX and them both turning out to be straight LI's. To me, it seems more likely they would have announced characters that had less restrictions on them, ones that could be romanced by any player playing as any PC. If I were in charge of reveals, I would have announced bisexual options first... especially given how the DA2 system worked. That way, you could announce the straight/gay options later and not have to worry about dashing the hopes of all the "Will Cass/Cullen be available to me???" threads that they had to have known were coming. In fact, since Cass/Cullen are the only two confirmed LI's, they would ensure they made everyone happy by later revealing that the two LI's they revealed were available to everyone. These LI's would be generating the most buzz, after all.

Not that I'm knowledgeable on marketing practices, but it would seem pretty careless to announce restricted straight LI's and be silent on the bi/gay ones. In fact... I'm not sure how I would feel about that at all the more I think about it.

Just my thoughts.

This would be my guess.

If this happens, all my Inquisitors will end up as female Dalish Elves (I really really like the Cassandra/elf pairing for some reason).

We're talking about the marketing practices that, for the longest time, had a full stop embargo on showing FemShep at all?

To be honest, I think the only reason they admitted Cullen was a LI was that his voice actor let it slip before they intended. lol

I remember it was down to the wire before ME1 showed us a female Shepard for the first time. The first time I remember seeing her was that playthrough demonstration video that looked like it was behind closed doors on a projector screen, where they showed off the opening sequence of the game to a small crowd.

But still, I'd like to believe they've come a long way since 2007. The cover art to DA:I is miles ahead of what ME1/ME2 did. Given the way things have been announced thus far, it's almost impossible for me to fathom Cass/Cullen aren't bisexual. Either way, I hope that in the future the people who make these decisions will take better care to remember that "reveals" like this... they aren't actually "reveals" unless you're playing a straight PC.

Did he? Haha. Well... maybe there's that, then.

Bioware's marketing improved a great deal. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised that the first reveals are to cater exclusively to a straight audience.

I tend to think this too.  I hate that I think this, but I do.

A user asked him on Twitter if there would be "romance and companionship" with Cullen and he said yes... then he said he didn't actually know what a companion was in game context. It was kind of a mess. lol

Agreed, especially with EA controlling the marketing process.

I've said this before, but I have noticed that the most marketed/advertised characters tend to up being either straight or bi. I don't recall them advertising a character that was exclusively gay, which is why I'd like to see it happen this time around (assuming Vivienne isn't a lesbian option, which I doubt). But I won't hold my breath.

To be honest, I think Cullen and Cassandra were just the most obvious. Cullen's voice actor already said he was a romance and most people thought there wasn't much room for him to confuse that much. David Gaider said he wrote two romances and we knew he wrote Cassandra, which made everyone think she was, already. I don't think it was necessarily based on sexuality. I think they were just the least surprising options to reveal. I mean, we probably don't even officially know the names of some of the romances.

I've seen too much of video-game marketing to be optimistic about it. I'm still reeling from stuff said in for the most recent Tomb Raider.

Well, when we think about the others, who could they have picked? If Vivienne is a LI, they could have announced her, but a lot of people don't expect her to be. Same with Varric. At the time they made the announcement, I'm pretty sure those were basically the only "offical" party members, along with Cassandra, and we knew Cullen would be in the game in some capacity. But think of the others people are guessing to be LIs. DHMG, Sera and Scribbles don't even have "official" names.

1)  :crying:  on Viviene. She's too good looking not to be an LI. Of course, that puts them in a bind where they're just announcing female LIs, so...

2) They go for the most hotly request male LI they have, so Cullen?

Scribbles' official name should be Scribbles.

I don't see why they revealed any LI's, to be honest--even if one of the actors did do a leak. Should have saved them all for one big reveal, maybe just before E3. It would have made this easier on my brain.

And yeah, we don't know a lot about "Sera" just yet. But she's still my favourite for a f/f romance... so even if my prediction/theory is correct, it's not exactly ideal for me.

Sera was her name in the leaked survey.  It's never been confirmed that her name is still Sera, but it's likely to be given that pretty much everything else from that survey has come true.
