Indeed. I am on Team PS as well. As a gay guy, I would like having set sexualities, but at the same time, I would prefer to have equal options even more.

I actually really liked that playing through as MaleShep that Traynor wasn't interested in me, it was a nice change from everyone wanting Shepherd, I plan to play a female character this time but a gay character would have me planning for my next playthrough.
I thought Steve Cortez and Traynor were great characters and them being properly gay and not bi was just a nice touch.

see and plus its make you feel special !! makes your character feel good being a male (or a female ) !! And it settle the mind and personality of the character more ! he'll be focused on one thing ,on one way of thinking ! And you too , you'll feel like more at ease (specially if your gay yourself ,cause i know its better going for a gay person than a bi !! )

we already getting that and seeing it evrywhere already ! but i'll talk only about DA ,so yes we already had alistair strictly staight which was a GREAT MISTAKE since he's one of the important protagonists int he story !! i think this one was already enough of an unjustice ! but yeah ,that quite my point ! why not have a bit of evrything !!! wouldnt it make the game so much more enjoyable and refreshing ! you'll have your own lover male or female ,if you wanna go for straight you'll can go for both the straight charcater and bi and you'll keep the gay one as a special friend in your team , and if you're wanna go for gay love you can choose from both bi and gay AND HERE my friend is where the difference is !!! gays will have the same amount of choice and luck as straight coupling !! and not only just Bi characters !!

I like this:

-2 female romances exclusively for male main characters

-2 male romances exclusively for female main characters

-2 bisexual (1 male, 1 female) romance for both male and female main characters

-1 female (lesbian) romance exclusively for female main characters

-1 male (gay) romance exclusively for male main characters

 

Thus:

-Straight men get 2-5 options (straightfem/maleMain, straightfem/maleMain, bifemale/maleMain, bifemale/femMain, lesfem/femMain), depending if on they like certain action

-Straight women get 2-5 options (straightmale/femMain, straightmale/femMain, bimale/femMain, bimale/maleMain, gaymale/maleMain), depending on if they like certain action

-Lesbians get 1-2+ options (bifemale/femMain, lesfem/femMain)

-Gay men get 1-2+ options (bimale/maleMain, gaymale/maleMain)

 

 

This is 8 characters though, so I'm okay with 2-4 of them being NON party members, but still alongside

 

This isn't so much my wish for Inquisition, but what I'd like for Bioware games overall. They can feel free to play around with this model as they wish, though.

 

I just want options - as in, more than one quality romance. Mass Effect is only 'okay but iffy' so far, but certainly better over time.

 

 

EDIT: Uh, to OP -- gay men for example range from approx 5-15%ish of a population, depending on how you view it and what you think counts. I'd like that generally understood in my games as well. Having 2 romancable central characters to me, that are male, with my male main character, is perfectly fine. I only want any choice.

Also it wouldn't hurt to have other NPCs available too, but only as long as Bioware is willing to do something with them (aka more true romantic scenes, less brothel).

AND THAT is exactly what i said to Jensaarai Bronitarian !! with the way it is , the people that choose to go for a gay romance from the start dont have only but the bi option while straight romance have two options !! and i know many people that play to have a gay romance directly ! so we need our gay natured character and with as a good develpement and story as any other straight or bi character. thats only fair ! (and sweet)

Well I'm personally of the opinion that characters should have a set sexuality, be that gay, straight, bi, or even asexual(if it were an option), so really it wouldn't bother me so long as there are an equivalent number of straight, gay, bi characters. But again it is better for everyone if every LI is capable of being romanced regardless of your PC's gender as it ensures that everyone can enjoy that character to the fullest.

For example, I'm quite fine with Ashley not being bi in ME3. I honestly feel it fits Kaidan more. *shrug*

 

Even though Alistair wasn't bi in DA:O, and I hated that so much, I got it. I understood that wasn't him. :S

well this is why i speak about it , they think people are not interested in a gay character or two ,whats the harm ? DA had alistair the guy with the most interesting plot and didnt bother making him bi ! I don't want all character to be gay natured , just two (one female and one male) would be enough in the party ! you see , so the one that choose a gay romance can have also two choices ! bi or gay

This has always been the model that I approve of:  2 straight (1 male, 1 female), 2 bisexual, and 2 gay LIs.  This way, everyone mostly wins.  The "it isn't realistic to have playersexual and/or all bisexual companions" camp wins by having everyone with a clearly set sexuality that isn't manipulated by the player's choice.  And the "it's not fair that gay and lesbian characters continue to get the shaft regarding romance" camp (of which I'm firmly entrenched myself) get to have equal options as everyone else.  The only people who won't be happy are the "there shouldn't be romances anyway in my manly dudebro game" camp, the "I want to be able to romance any LI without having to be rejected" camp, and the "there need to be many more straight romances for the game to be realistic" camp........  If only it were easier to please everyone.
