If there's only 2 per gender, I wouldn't mind 1 gay and 1 straight, but bisexual for options. Optimally, i want 1 gay, 1 straight, and 1 bi.

ALL the things.
Oh wouldn't it be hilarious if DAI went down the disastrous route of making absolutely everyone a potential romance like Dragon's Dogma?

This has always been the model that I approve of: 2 straight (1 male, 1 female), 2 bisexual, and 2 gay LIs. This way, everyone mostly wins. The "it isn't realistic to have playersexual and/or all bisexual companions" camp wins by having everyone with a clearly set sexuality that isn't manipulated by the player's choice. And the "it's not fair that gay and lesbian characters continue to get the shaft regarding romance" camp (of which I'm firmly entrenched myself) get to have equal options as everyone else. The only people who won't be happy are the "there shouldn't be romances anyway in my manly dudebro game" camp, the "I want to be able to romance any LI without having to be rejected" camp, and the "there need to be many more straight romances for the game to be realistic" camp........ If only it were easier to please everyone.
its easy to please anyone , with the same equal number of sexual orientation party ! and here am asking only about TWO party who would be gay (a male and a female) with their own storyline and own romance ...that would be so nice ~

so whats your final say ? you also wish for at least 2 gay characters with their own powerful storyline and development like fenris ,anders and alistair (big deception for me at the end)

I already said that I think overall the playersexual route is the best one to take. I like people to have options in a game that thrives on giving the player options.

Look at it this way - Alistair was a straight-only romance, and you were disappointed that you couldn't romance him with a male. But if they'd made him a gay-only romance, others would be disappointed that they couldn't romance him with a female. All you're really doing is displacing that disappointment onto another group of players.
I think the best way to ensure that each and every player has the greatest chance of finding a romance they are happy with is to remove gender-restrictions. I understand that some people feel this cheapens the characters and I do symphasise with that, but I feel that for the sake of equality this is the most appropriate option.

Only if you come from the viewpoint that getting anything less than 100% doesn't count as a gain at all.Compromising is actually a lose-lose situation since neither side gets what they want.

I was very disappointed in Traynor being a strict lesbo and turning me down in my own cabin.
That's why I let her lose to that asari in space chess.

Honestly, I like everybody being bisexual, or at the very least playersexual - giving off the impression they're exclusively oriented to the player's gender in that playthrough, like Merrill was. More choice, more smiles all around.
I'll admit though, Cortez being an exclusive male/male romance was awesome (He was mine and mine only!). It'd be nice to have that again - I found myself satisfied with the romance options in ME3 overall, and Kaidan being available for both genders was a nice touch.
Either way, I'm happy. I was skeptical of Zevran at first in Origins, and I really wanted to get my manly hands on Alistair, but when I settled for the former I really grew to like his character. I'm sure I'd adapt to any Inquisition love interest!

Exlusively gay characters won't happen. Too many resources for an option only a small minority will choose. There was a romance poll for Mass Effect 3 and only around 5% of players ended up romancing Cortez. That's fewer than Jacob. Yes, you read that right.

Or maybe they won't be LIs. But There's no reason to suppose there won't be any gay characters at all. Even DAO had Wade and Herren. There've been gay and trans people in the last two games; no reason to think Bioware will stop being inclusive now.
Also, they don't just make decisions based on the raw statistics. Catering to a wide range of people is one of their major selling points, and giving LGBTI people and those who play LGBTI PCs (Acronym soup! My favourite!) choices makes the stories more complex and satisfying.

I just want a gay or bi romance option that is NOT an elf, or someone like anders please....on ME3 Bioware nailed it with Cortez and Kaidan.

Uh-huh. Two characters that Bioware had to confirm about. And look at the whole plethora of non-PC gay characters in DA2. Such as Karl and...um....errr....
And they totally don't ignore LI staticstics or anything. Jacob and Thane were unpopular romances and they totally gave them great romance arcs, obviously. And gay Male Shepard was totally thought about. That's why we had to wait until the last game in the trilogy to actually get anything.

The statistics issue is the reason I think it makes sense to just allow everyone access to all the romances. They're already expending a lot of resources on each character, they might as well allow everyone access, especially when doing so detracts basically nothing.
Although, personally, I think Cortez is just a bad example. Cortez wasn't a good romance plot, generally. He was an NPC introduced only in ME3 that just talked about his dead husband up until the moment you got into a relationship. Everyone I know that did a m/m relationship went with Kaidan, because he was obviously the more developed and plot relevant choice.
