I think we are up to "LGBTQQIP2SAA" and I have not a freaking clue what all those letters entail.
wait...why are there two qs?

Supposedly Queer and Questioning.
"LGBT+". I like that solution.
Like the rent, the acronym's character number is too damn high.
I agree, it makes me chuckle when I see someone use that enormous thing.

Oh I see.

Well, why is the L,G,B, and T so special as to get represented by their own letter while everyone else is clumped into a +?

Touche. But what other way could we streamline the acronym so it won't be so clunky?

Im probably guessing that its a person that thinks has 2 souls 1 male and 1 female in one body?
I was correct it seems!

I'm indifferent about this

Indeed.

Find a word that can apply to all of them simultaneously, like queer used to before it became a slur.
Acronymal seniority.
And what makes the current letters so special that they get represented while all these other titles like ambiguous, demisexual, et al get zilch?
I wasn't entirely serious, but a + would actually encompass any future additions like that.
Are you asking me my own question?
Im probably guessing that its a person that thinks has 2 souls 1 male and 1 female in one body?

It's specific to Indigenous cultures, so it's not a widely-known term.

Third and fourth gender roles historically embodied by two-spirit people include performing work and wearing clothing associated with both men and women. Some tribes consider there to be at least four genders: masculine men, feminine men, masculine women, and feminine women. The presence of male two-spirits "was a fundamental institution among most tribal peoples."[1] According to Will Roscoe, male and female two-spirits have been "documented in over 130 North America tribes, in every region of the continent."

I still don't understand how queer got added

Are you asking me my own question?
I applied the same question to the full acronym which you seem to be defending.
I just think that giving everyone representation individually is more important than doing it only by bunching them together. It would be like having a bisexual female character and saying "Okay, this is representation for everyone who isn't straight." or something rather than like what DAi is where there is a lesbian, a gay man, a bisexual, and a pansexual.

Edit:
Yes, and for a variety of historical and cultural reasons.Two-spirit people (also two spirit or twospirit) is a modern umbrella term used by some indigenous North Americans for Gender variant individuals in their communities. Non-Native anthropologists have historically used the term berdaches /bərˈdæʃɨz/ for individuals who fulfill one of many mixed gender roles in First Nations and Native American tribes, but this term has more recently fallen out of favour.Third and fourth gender roles historically embodied by two-spirit people include performing work and wearing clothing associated with both men and women. Huh, very interesting. It's a Native American cultural thing.

There are several attempts to create a new, more inclusive acronym...like GSM (gender and sexual minorities, although I believe this one has a gross history? im not sure 100% but i've seen people trying to use it) and MOGA...Marginalized Orientations and Gender Alignments. I suspect as time goes on, something will catch on. It might just be "queer" tho...it's a lot easier to remember ![]()
I would like a term better to fit all those in a lot simpler setup. I still don't like using Queer.
MOGA sounds easier to write out, as long as it covers everyone.
