And what's wrong with flamboyant gays, pray tell?

Absolutely nothing, but for some reason he mistook my finding a picture of jpop guys funny as evidence that I have an issue with flamboyant gays.  Which, as I'm sure most people who read my posts know, is completely baseless, ridiculous, and a giant leap in reasoning.

we get to romance the maker? or the architect?

It's fantasy game about inquisition... stop with all of those romancers shenanigans...

We need to burn witches and heretics!

I sincerely hated what they did to Anders in DA2... He was literally throwing himself at me the whole game. It was like misunderstanding friendships on a whole new level with the companions in DA II. Heck fenris did the same when I got friendly with him and that really doesn't make either of them the "ideal" romance options because their orientation is all messed up as hell and they're all up in the faces of straight players and gay players alike, like "I need you to seriously take the hint here. Now!".

So glad they had such amazingly written chars and relationships in ME3. I loved how Cortez needed a bro at first and then it "could" go where interested parties would want it to go or it could also just turn into a beautiful friendship! And all of that without throwing himself at shepard literally every conversation. Same with Traynor, beautifully done.

Hope there's no "catch me now!" companions this time around (-10 approval for saying "Uhh... No, can we not?" -___-")

I think your definition of 'throwing' might be off. ;)

At most each of them made like, one comment to me? I've played multiple times and done a run through with both genders.

I assure you, it is not! He literally throws himself at me and it's honestly disgusting that a character was degraded to be of specific sexual orientation as a default behaviour. Let's be honest "romance" was not one of the finer features of DAII: http://youtu.be/UuEamLsr8Qk?t=5m20s Now you may not like the guy but he knows what he's talking about. Here: http://arstechnica.c...about-everyone/

It was pretty dumb how every compliment as a friend, gave you the "take my hint, you have to!" vibe... There were disapprovals even in Origins but the ones in DAII are so much more worse just because of the fact that:
1. you did not in anyway make advances towards him (being a male and all)
2. you get played like a fiddle if you compliment him.
3. It's also very immature how Fenris follows suit in later parts of the game (though not as much as anders JEESUS)
4. You can't even downplay it because they do the same thing if you compliment them even as a female T____T (which I'm not)

So...again...I played the game as both genders. No one was throwing themselves at me.

Why would it be more ok if Anders was throwing himself at a woman?

I did 8 playthroughs of the game myself. He threw himself at me each time, I got fed up and I told him to **** off everytime after the 5th playthrough. Maybe you don't see it as "throwing..." but if I had to say it in layman terms, it's like he tries really hard to pull your strings by being the "poor mage" every single conversation/arguement he has with you, he reminds reminds you of how lonely he basically is (puppy eyes) and that's the same thing with Fenris when later on (not even subtle about it.) You probably look at it casually and find nothing wrong with it but at the very core of his character behaviour he's a dude with issues that you need to take pity on or sympathize with and he seemingly uses that to throw himself at you at every possible turn.

I'm not just making it up you know? Many people have had the same issue with him in particular (countless articles on the net about how Anders in particular behaves that way). Some people even went to extreme lengths to harass the female writer who worked on the char...

Posting comments or criticisms is one thing but...

Harassing the writer (male or female) - Not cool!

In point of fact harassing anyone is Not cool!

Just saying.

I think it should be like ME3.I hated how Anders would assume my Hawke was gay as we'll then get all pissy about Hawke saying no.Nothing against gay or bisexual. It's just to me very immersion breaking for 90% of the characters to try & sleep with you like they have no personality at all.No on the everyone is bisexual or player sexual.

i'll just correct if you don't flirt with him ,he will not read into anything.

but the rest yes , everyone bisexual is not great . ...but now that i saw how the (outted) (speaking of the men )characters are ...oh please is it just me who isn't yet enticed but none of them !!!  *sigh* seems like i will miss Anders on much more angles  [like his good looks for exemple...oh lord ] oh well ,hope is not lost yet ... ...i hope .

Didn't realize being polite == wanting to bang.

Though that's a staple of BioWare romances.

he will but ask your help , you know , you can so very precisely choose the many other options beside the heart one , there arent hearts in all the sentences you can choose you know, after that ,he will just want to thanks you for the help you did to him .Undestanding that you went with him the friendship road, it really mean a lot to him ,cause here ,you are standing his ground and helping his cause with the mages ,something he  hold very dear to his heart (knowing all he went through as a mage himself ,all what he see his kind is enduring day after day from kirkwall templars abusive rules . and all his personal suffer and abuse through his life in the circle ,in the run just for being what he is. )  For all this ,he really intend on showing how important and gratitude to you he is that you are beside him . unless you choose the "kiss me" or " how long would it take to drive you mad" sentence ,you will but be his dear friend :) .You just need to know that by standing beside him for the mages ,your hawke is doing something very weitghy and major for him .he wont just thanks you with a pat on the shoulder for that .

i would love to encounter a gay party who is gay by nature and not bisexual !! that would be so hot and more enticing to talk and play with !!

Yet when I and others say that we would like characters which are straight, the bisexuals start yelling at us...

its all but should be done with precision, giving us the same amount of gay character as straight and bi . thoughhhh~~ the only little issue i see ,is then my gay characters as to be on the same level of  good looking and plot interesting as the straight ones or bi ones ! come one zevran was not as interesting as alistair (as cute as he was)! ....

Yeah.........that's not going to happen.

At best you'll get a number of bi characters you can romance as the same sex and have one confirmed gay romance for your s/s character.
