We are a small but active few so it has been refreshing to see that, since we arrived here, some new faces have been turning up to bolster the numbers.
Good luck with the books and mods JF,

Half a caffeine stay-awake tablet (50mg) for me each morning. It keeps me plenty peppy and is much cheaper than the alternatives... ![]()

Beer helps too ... up to a point.
Is that the point when you start losing the toolbars due to over zealous mouse control ?
ps. One more vote for beer from me.

Ballmer Peak.
I can only speak for myself, but I've experienced this effect myself. It's like a real-life buff. Two beers, and the effects wear off after a while, but while it is in effect, damn... productivity through the roof.

Wine... beer is too gassy for creativity, (I live next door to a "real ale pub" and am too familiar with the lure...)
I make my own wines, and every now and again, (like the Easter hols) my good lady takes the offspring to France to visit the outlaws for a fortnight...
So, right now, I'm on my fourth large glass of chablis (I go for white in quantity, cos red leaves more of a mega headache...).
I have three projects to choose from:
a) my NWN2 campaign, (that has a dozen people moaning for it...)
a Live Roleplay event that has 60 people wanting to PAY for it...
or
c) my current novel, which has an agent wondering if it even exists....
more wine methinks...
My bravest thought is working on combining the three... and using the same plot idea for all of them.
I'm currently wondering why ticking the "Is Always Night" box on the are properties of a spooky undead encounter are I've created, doesn't seem to have any impact on the sky/lighting when I run the mod...
(Use short words to tell me where I f***ed up... FOUR large glasses of wine... remember...)

Disable the day night cycle and export the night time lighting settings you like then import them to the default one and leave it as always night so you get a moon. All this can be found in the area properties including the import export bit ( it's at the top ).

"Is Always Night" is for gameplay purposes, as in the case of any spells or other scripts that have different effects depending on what time it is. For instance, someone might want a vampire to only be active during the night, but in this area, it's always "night", even if the day/night cycle is running normally. Same applies for defining an area as "interior" or "underground". Some spells or effects depend on those things being defined, like some spells only work outdoors or in natural environments.
As Tsongo says, when you disable the day/night cycle, it uses the "Default" lighting stage as what it looks like all the time.

"Is Always Night" probably affects controls drow and others with daylight penalties.

Gotcha.
when nothing happened I figured that it might be for affecting day/night effects.
So if I just export the standard "night" properties on the day night cycle and import them once back into default, and disable the cycle it should work.
Cool...
I like it when I understand what people are telling me first time, and don't have to ask what they mean, I feel like I'm getting somewhere!
Cheers.
