Do you think that "Shapeshifter" will be a specialization for Mage again? I would love to be a Shapeshifting Qunari Mage as my main in DA:I. If Shapeshifter will be a specialization, I think other characters and companions to mention it, ask me about it, and even joke about it and Templars and Chantry people should be afraid of me even more and call me an abomination or something. This may be a little far fetched, but I think it would be the most awesome thing in the world if the last ability for Shapeshifter was a Dragon and people would react to that as well. What do you guys think?

I would love for the shapeshifter specialization to return, especially if they let us be different animals. Like a Bronto, bustin through groups of darkspawn or other people we fight.

I'd love to see Shapeshifter back in DAI.

Maybe if the player unlocked the ability from Flemeth. I want her to teach me to turn into a dragon.

It has been said that your inquisitor has some sort of dragon related power.

I want to turn into a big snake that spits acid and poison with two heads and also want to turn into a lion.

Unfortunately shape shifting seems to be very difficult to balance and, as they're doing it in DA:O, it gets rid of the rest of your magical abilities for abilities that might not be worth it.

I usually see shape shifting be very powerful or very weak with very few moderate builds. :(

Oh,I'd love to see this specialization again, although I'd prefer it if the spider and swarm forms were replaced by something else...I think shape shifting is common among the Dalish mages as well.

Yeah, I was wondering how id balance it in a way where I could use both shapeshifting and normal form an effective and satisfying amount.

I feel like shapeshifter would be better if rather than sustained shifts we hap abilities like a bull/bronto charge, a wolf or spider tackle, maybe the that swarm thing could be a quick move ability.

Unless the ruleset and class system gets a major shakeup I don't think we will see the shapeshifting spec re-introduced, in order for it to work and introduce an interesting yet balanced playstyle it almost needs to be a separate class within itself focused less on raw DPS or Armour but adaptability and utility. If the spec only allows the character to take on forms that allow the character to perform the roles of other classes but worse then what is the point?

That's a good point.
