Shoving 3D on all action movies- it works for some, but definitely not for all of them. Plus the glasses provide an eyesore after you take them off when the movie's over.

Shaky cam - this really needs to die. It does not improve the action and only makes it frustrating to watch.

Not essentially a trend, but more like the publics reaction to outcomes.and by public i mean Fans and outcomes im talking about video game endings, or tv show endings.they're protesting the endings is absurd.i cannot describe how much that gets under my skin.Where or not it was written good or awful is upon them and its there art and they are in control.the whole point of art is to do what you the creator wants and if people love it great, if they dont oh well.ah im done with that little rant

actual trends.....

Dudes wearing girl jeans to show off.my opinion F***ing losers

Reality shows.open a F***ing book theres better crap going on in the worst writings out there

Pusicifaction thats going around. When those countries get invaded....., sucks to be them

theres many more out to discuss, but im sure many post before have been stated and resaid so im done

This whole thread is basically one big "Stop liking things I don't like" thread.

I would probably say if anything needs to die, it's that mentality.

True, but then again:

Well I am going to make a list because there are a lot of things that need to burn in the fiery pits of hell.

Facebook/Twitter

Snap Chat/Instagram

Apple making a new iPhone every month.

Xbone vs .PS4.

Consoles vs. PC.

TF2 addictions.

Katty Perry/Lady Gaga/etc. new crappy music.

People hating dubstep but listening to it.

...

I could continue but then I'd be ranting which is another trend that needs to die forever.

There are some things I can agree with...

The trend of using things like "~" at the end of sentences, or :3, or ;3, or x3, or xD in sentences. And the trend for some English-speakers who throw in Japanese words like "baka" or "kawaii" into their sentences in an attempt to look cool. And Homestuck.

I'm an atheist and I find this trend cringey as ****

Thankfully it's only limited to the atheists of r/atheism. I thought it was epic god-tier trolling at first until I Googled "Faces of Atheism" and actually came across these photos from r/atheism itself. Not entirely surprising with half the stuff you can read on there being particularly cringe-worthy. The faces suit the comments. Some of them are hoaxes though (it basically spawned a meme). My favorite is this one below:

omfy9Rr.jpg

What adds the final touch is that the person in the photo almost looks like a man.

So yeah, this "internet atheism" thing needs to die out. It's fine arguing a position, it's not fine when you act like these guys.

Other trends that need to die:

-Baggy jeans.

-Baggy jeans with pants revealed.

-Selfies.

-Football worship.

-Family Guy worship. It's not even that funny yet I have to put up with people in my class in college talking about it like it's some intellectual comedy (seriously).

-Social media garbage.

-Hip hop culture and "fashion" eww.

-Any youth who thinks its "cool" to dress in track suit bottoms and a sweat jumper for going out.

-Celebrity culture.

-Celebrity worship.

-Bronies.

-Most fandoms (whovians, celebrity fans, etc).

-Any adult who dresses in an over-sized coat and baggy jeans.

-"Skinny paint on jeans" (slim jeans are the best medium, I can't imagine how anyone could fit "skinny paint on jeans" onto themselves without having to sacrifice air space for the "sheath n' sword").

-Feminism.

-This crap "Illuminati" BS half fueled by these singers who somehow think the one eye fad is "cool" when it just makes them look like idiots.

-Edgy teens who call themselves "anti-Christs" who listen to metal rock and wear "666" symbols.

-Gay pride festivals and culture (obvious reasons, even many gays dislike this festival and culture as it misrepresents them as well as giving most of the festival participants excuses to act like animals running nude in public whilst costing tax payers money to arrange this display of deviance and trust me, I would be saying the same if it was a "hetro" pride festival which brings me to...)

-People making out in public vicinity. I saw a lot of this crap on college grounds and even in my class. It's annoying especially that god-awful kiss sound. One kiss, fine, two kisses, okay, french kissing in my restaurant though? GTFO. I don't want lite porn.

-Crappy porn videos with cheesy story-lines. Back in my day, these porn videos had good story-lines that I really got into with characters who I really cared about. Now they're all based on some random black pizza guy who shows up half way through out of the blue with his big balls hanging out when the pizza lid is opened and he always turns up in "lesbian" videos. Always. And it's the same bald black guy each time. I watch lesbian porn because I don't want to see any balls or willies flying about let alone big balls. Seriously. So why is bald "big ball" random black guy always showing up in them just as the girls are getting to the good bits? Now I just avoid porn altogether. This guy must be on his knees praying though, thanking God every day for the best job in the world.

In fact screw it, I hate nearly everything about today's culture including this crap about thinking scripted crap like "First Kiss" on YouTube is art. How that crap got to the front page in the first place is beyond me, actually it's not, the clothing agency behind it obviously paid YouTube but I can think of better entertaining things than seeing actors and actresses kissing. Jesus.

I bet I sound like a grumpy old man. I'm really not in real life, trust me. I'm into fashion but the fashion where clothes actually fit on you and I'm into all the latest technology. Today's society has made great progresses in some places but not in others. Above all, I think social media and internet is ruining today's society especially with how all the common folk and peasants are addicted to their smart-phones.

(Note: my views are half-serious, if you like taking selfies and wearing baggy jeans, continue to do so, actually, don't wear baggy jeans at all, seriously, they're awful guys, oh and I'm defo serious about the lesbian porn, seriously, who does this geezer think he is ruining them all by turning up in them? One minute two women are at it and then suddenly, bald black guy just magically appears on the scene with his footballs taking up all the camera space).

Reading through this thread, I feel as though the BSN is entirely too concerned with my pants and how baggy/tight they may or may not be.

Considering that over 8 years, I've turned from a skinny 51 KG guy to a muscly 61 KG guy, 90% of my jeans are either non-wearable or if I can wear them I cannot sit anywhere using them (you know objects needs space, right?!)... and I fail miserably to find a jean that actually suits me. It has become a catastrophe!

That is why I ABHORE skinny jeans. They have become an annoying trend that consequently I don't have many options when I try to buy a jean.

@Eternal Phoenix, [Vague Statement] I agree with 2/3 of what you said.
