Grown men acting like wussy beta males needs to go. That and dudes who wear women's skinny jeans.

The biggest trend though that irks me is when the media overdoes a tragedy, talking about it nonstop, or like how they repeatedly show some scumbag murderer's face. It's almost like they want to glorify tragedy and psychopaths.

Bloody hell, I need a shovel or an oar to whack them over.

What does need to stop is the sudden obsession with being a pseudo-nerd or geek. It makes me so mad that those people try to be "cool" by pretending to be not.

And I dont get what is the big deal these days with making your face skin "smooth as a baby's ass" as some commercial said but in different words. Men grow facial hair. Its a fact of nature. I didnt like shaving every day since my facial hair grows quite fast so I keep mine in a permanent state of trimmed and I hate when people say that I look unkempt or that I need a shave.

Oh and the whole thing where people try to push for certain things like, "you must like Game of Thrones", and replace GoT with whatever book/movie/TV show. I am under no obligation to like anything and the simple fact that a lot of people who ten, no even five years ago would have thought this "geeky" or "nerdy" and would judge others on it like the damn thing does not mean I should.

Oh an ridiculous amounts of money payed to people like Bieber, Minage and others like them. And their complete ability to skirt above the law, any other person doing what they do with drugs, driving under influence or with no license would have been sent to prison. I just hate the whole celebrity thing, most of those people havent done anything remarkable at all yet they are rich and famous for some utterly insignificant thing. Its a waste of money, those millions could be spent on research into all kinds of useful things or rebuilding of cities or just anything good. Instead they get thrown at those people for doing stupid things on camera and looking down on others. ARRGH, just thinking of this makes me want to go hit those people with a shovel over the head.

I don't even agree with the whole "beta" males need to go and I found the people in that video annoying.

Although I think trying to identify yourself as being one specific personalty type is just silly in general, and a large number of self proclaimed "alpha" males I've met are just as annoying as the ones in that video.

Also amusing in that they're terrified as coming off as anything except the manliest manly man who ever did manly things.

So basically the trend that you want to end is television programming that doesn't suck?

Television programming that isn't always about tragedy and the psycho's of society, yeah that's a trend I seriously wish would end. Month after month there's always something horrible (be it a mass shooting or some other disaster) that the media has to relentlessly talk about, it get's exhausting when all you see on the news is the worst parts of society. I can understand the media wanting to spread the word about something misfortunate that has happened, sadly most of the time they just completely overdo it.

I suspect it has very little to do with spreading the word and a lot to do with focusing on the worst parts of society because that gets them a lot more viewers than not doing so.

Internet slacktivists wanting videogames by a certain developer to be a platform for advancing their pet political causes.

I'm all for equal treatment in video games and I agree with this.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this - Fat people is a trend that really has to stop, I see obese unhealthy fat sacks everywhere I go and I'm not even living in the US of A. You don't have to eat to the point of puking every meal, you know and believe it or not -  there is edible food that does not consist of 90% sugar or fat.

Yeah, it takes like 5 minutes and ingredients worth a couple of bucks and you've got yourself a healthy breakfast. Ordering stuff at McD takes more time and is more expensive.

A part of me is amused by this discussion going on while I'm sitting here eating doritos and drinking coke.

Not that I weigh 500 pounds, mind you. I do get in exercise and eat moderately healthy as far as meals are concerned.

Its still bad for you though, I used to exercise 1.5 hours / day every day in the week to justify my bad and lazy eating habits. I bulked up like crazy and still felt like crap. Now I exercise 1.5 hours day (mainly weight lifting) but totally improved my eating habits and feel super awesome. In my experience exercise doesn't make up for  an unhealthy diet. ;)

I'm not going to avoid anything and everything that's not good for me, and I never said I eat like this every day(in fact, I specifically stated that I didn't).

Speaking of exercise, women in gyms lifting hilariously light weights is a trend that needs to die. You're not going to improve your body with 20 reps of 1kg dumbbell curls. You lift more weight every single day when hauling full shopping bags into your damn car or lifting your spawn into baby buggies.

It also has more calories. Sounds like a win.

@Woldan & Cyonan: I agree 100%!!

WHY for christ's sake go to the trouble of going to the gym to WASTE your time?!? (And mine)

Now, understand I am not in Olympic shape. I am somewhat athletic, and take pride in a healthy diet and active lifestyle. I do what I can within my schedule and without becoming shallow/obsessive.

That said, all women (and some dudes) reading this, PLEASE stop kidding yourselves! Lifting light weights and "going through the motions" is a complete JOKE!! It is doing NOTHING but making the owner of the gym rich! You MUST push your limits and you MUST gain some muscle to make any real progress in almost any fitness program. I always laugh when I hear women say "I do cardio only since I don't wanna get huge and masculine" What a dumb statement.

Think of all the GORGEOUS female actresses/models/athletes who are fit and toned, lean and muscular but NOT manly. It is a giant gulf between being a healthy, fit woman and being a She-Ra type bodybuilder chick. Please get this message already people!!

/End rant

:)
