The DA writers are not the ME writers though. The head writer himself said he would never, ever make a character a LI unless it fit the story. Never to please the fans.

 

I like that. I hope Gaider thinks a romance with Cass fits the story, but I'll be fine with it as well if he thinks it doesn't (After I cry my eyes out and eats lots of ice cream )

Iron Bull and Varric are the only ones I want.  I'm going to romance them all sooner or later, and find something I enjoy about doing so...but Iron Bull and Varric are the ones I'm crossing fingers for.

Yeah, but so could any of the devs when they announce stuff on the threads.  I'm inclined to believe it when he says that he's "cleared it" in response to someone asking if he's allowed to release this information.

I can't say I really care. The way the last two games end.. on mysterious cliffhanger notes and your friends/romances going their own ways, I don't think it matters. I ended up happiest with a Warden who didn't even bother with it.

 

Maybe the Inquisitor will actually have a "life" though, who knows.

It's true that Bioware isn't exactly known for their happy - or even content - endings. IDK, my DA:O endings with Zev was pretty awesome. Then when I played Asunder, it mentions how a noble enemy of mine died mysteriously one night, and I knew it was Zevran taking care of things behind the scenes, so that was nice. On my second play through, I deliberately chose a human so I could be Queen with Alistair. So, DA:O romances worked for me both times. Da2, didn't work for me AT ALL. My LI turned out to be a terrorist who killed innocent people to make his point, and my choices were to forgive him out of hand or assassinate him. I'm still bitter.

 

I am really hoping that DA:I is more DA:O than DA2.

I think it's highly unlikely he'd be "trolling", I'm sure he's well aware of what kind of backlash that would bring.

I want to either romance Iron Bull or Solas with my Male Qunari Mage.

I'm hoping for at least one male romantic option who is handsome and fun to be with.   Both Alistair and Zevran were great in DAO - the latter of course wasn't restricted to the ladies - but I was disappointed over what they did to Anders in DA2.   I have just been replaying Awakening and it only brought back all the feelings of regret over what happened to Anders.   I remember when they said he was going to be a romance in DA2 and I was thrilled because I really wanted to romance him and then found he was a completely different character.  Luckily him threatening to rip Ella's head off was sufficient to put me off pursuing the romance any further so I didn't have to go through the heartache of my lover becoming a terrorist.  I did have a bit of a thing for Fenris but it was hard putting up with the constant harping on about mages, particularly as my first Hawke was a mage, but at least he came around in the end, loyally helped me defend the mages and didn't blow anybody up. 

 

But I really long for the good old days, with Zevran giving helpful sex tips to Alistair in the party banter, and conversations about lamp posts with Alistair in camp. 

 

What I really, really want would be a fun male mage character - a sort of Awakening Anders mark 2.   I do miss him.

I guess Vivienne and Sera will be the female love interests (though I'd rather prefer Cassandra).

 

As for the male LI (which I'm far more interested in), I would be VERY sad if the Bearded Warden isn't a romance option. After reading "The Stolen Throne", I fell for slightly older men with a rich background, and was disappointed I couldn't romance Loghain in Origins. So I hope my dreams will come true in DAI, even if chances are very small... Especially if Cullen is a romance option indeed, chances are vanishing. But I still hope Beardy is a romance option - even if it's a chaste marriage like with Sebastian, I would be so happy

 

As for the other male LI candidates, just imagine a sexy time scene with Varric!! xD Even if he would be romanceable, I'd NEVER ever romance him. He's my bro and I can't imagine him other than that. I doubt he would be a LI. I guess Solas has the highest chance to become a romance option, just because we always had a mysterious male elf romance... Though I'd like Iron Bull to be an option.

I'm pretty sure the love the interests will be Cassandra, Vivienne, Cullen and Solas which is a shame because I was hoping somebody in the rogue class would be a LI.
