It would annoy me to have gender neutral clothing forced on me just as much as it annoys you to have "girly clothes" forced on you.
Casual Clothes

I think it would also be cool to have companions appear in casual clothing, at least at the home base. Rather than being fully suited in camp like DA:O, and using the same armour for relaxing and fighting in DA2, Aveline being the exception of course (she never relaxes hehe)
Regarding the Inquisitor, more options are always welcome ![]()

Thus why I rather prefer to get options like ME did. You picked the casual outfit you wanted to wear and that was that. (though I had to get mods to give more variety. Hopefully DAI will have enough variety on it's lonesome).
But if we're stuck with one I'll root for my preferences and I'm sure many others will do the same for theirs XD

Like most of these types of issues, a choice of, at the very least, two options would best suit a solution.

I don't mind girly clothes forced on me, as long as girly clothes are forced on both genders.

True. Dress option and then shirt and pants option would be the quickest solution. (I would hope for more options than that though but that's me being greedy
)

it's sooooooooooooo annoying when people assume that "gender neutral" is what everyone wants.
I really hope we get choices this time, because it was forced on me in MotA and look how that went.

Here's the thing though. I prefer gender neutral over having masculine for men and feminine for women.
I like gender neutral for both, masculine for both or feminine for both, either way it has to be the same. imo

I dress my Dragon's Dogma sorcerer in sexy clothes all the time. It's so... freeing lol Like, thank you for giving me the freedom to express this kind of character. Of course I have two other male characters who don't dress like that at all. Choices, people, choices!

Yes
I so have my Skyrim dude running around in that fur armor with most of the chest area missing XD No shame. Whatsoever.

Yes. Agreed. I did love how ME always gave you casual options (after 1). Changed out of that Cerberus outfit right away in 2. Used that weird yellowish jacket with the black top and then the black tight pants
(well that's how it looked in ME3 looked similar to that in 2).

Yes. Fur dude's my mage. My warrior is in full armor. Skimpy armor is fine when there's a choice. Being stuck with just skimpy armor blows and being stuck with just massive armor blows. (And I can't help it I hate when armor is fully covering for a male and then on a female it's skimpy. Make it fully covering for both or skimpy for both).

Can't say no to more options, especially more clothing options.
Hawke's casual wear looked horrible. Like some mix between a private school uniform and discount pajamas.
If they do add more options, don't force my f!Inquisitor to wear feminine clothes. Options! Choices.
I don't want my females shoehorned into 'feminine clothes' and my dudes shoehorned into 'manly clothes'.

I swear to god Hawke was wearing tights. It was ridiculous.

I am all for casual clothing in hubs.It would be cool if the companions would wear their casual clothing too.I was always interested in what sort of off duty clothing Oghren,Zevran and Loghain would wear.^^
Im not really into "fashion" and stuff( I have like 3 black shirts and a pair of jeans IRL
) so i would prefer the option to dress my female char in boring genderneutral clothes.(Bonus points if i can wear them for the Orlesian ball^^)

I just really want to be able to stuff my qunari inquisitor into a big Orlesian ball gown.

I liked how Hawke would wear "finery" in the mansion, but that was a bit limited since it was the only style you could wear.

It would be amusing if Vivienne didn't trust the Inquisitor to dress him/herself for a party and forced you to wear something really over the top. Then, in dialogue, you can either express your love for the outfit or your overwhelming desire to set it on fire.
She won't dare.

I would rather my manquisitors be forced to wear girly clothing than my ladyquisitors be forced to wear manly clothing. But yeah choice is great, and I would rather wear my chosen armor/robes in every scene than be forced into casual "gender neutral" clothing or manly clothing like in DA2.

Picturing her trying to force femQunari Inquisitor in a dress is amusing.
Probably would drag in a poor tailor.

The notion of girly or manly or sexy is arbitrarily based on preconceived stereotypes and gender roles. I think the casual wear was boring in DAII, but it's never been high on my priorities list. It's a customization perk and that's about it.
I will say that it is discombobulating that my main character is running around in casual clothing when my other companions come to hang out all decked out in their fighting gear. If there's going to be casual wear, the companions should really have it too just to clear up the incongruity, but ultimately it's not a big concern of mine.

The most likely situation I can see where we would be able to wear non-combat clothing definitely seems like the Orlesian ball we are (hopefully) going to. And taking away our choice in clothing for that woud actually be a real bummer given how important it is to be well dressed in Orlais. Viv should make a recommendation, but you should have a few other options, maybe you don't want to blend in to Orlesian society, maybe you want to tick all of them off by showing up in your combat armor or Hawke style lounge wear...or whatever the hell Hawke was wearing in MoTa?
I really don't have that much of a wishlist for Inquisition...but I'll be kinda bummed if this isn't part of that mission.

I love Dragon's Dress-up so, so much. My male mage pawn is wearing thigh-high stockings while my female assassin Arisen is modestly dressed. The fact that a game even makes that possible is so... there are no words ♡I dress my Dragon's Dogma sorcerer in sexy clothes all the time.
Dad: What is that guy wearing!? He looks like he's going to a Mardi Gras pride parade!
Me: You don't say!
