She doesn't really seem that powerful to me. Even in dragon form, she was slain by my mabari war dog. I know that those dogs are pretty badass and intelligent but...

She also called her "amulet form" a piece of insurance for what she expected Morrigan to do (which was have her killed, I assume). Would a Formless One need this sort of backup plan and require a low level Hawke to carry it across the ocean for her? If Bioware had given me a choice, I'd have thrown it overboard into the Waking Sea.

Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh, I mean obviously she's going to have to be able to be beaten in Origins, they can't make her as powerful as she really is or else we'd never have progress through Morrigan's story. Plus the Warden was a special snowflake.

Morrigan did mention that all you need to do is study the creature you wanna be in order to transform into it.

So it possible for any shapeshifter (if they are strong enough) to study a high dragon and transform into it.

I don't think she's Dumat but I think it's quite possible they could take any form they want.

I think they can only either keep the body they possessed or change into a Dragon

In my own myth, they say stories shape the reality.

They believe that everything in the universe is a story, even humans, plants, and the gods.

They believe that everything that is alive tells its own story, but the story ends when it dies.

Gods are different however. When they die (and don't reincarnate into a spirit medium), they don't tell their stories anymore, however their stories don't end.

This is because they are mythic (important).

People who were ordinary, mostly priests would mantle this "dead" god, and take on its throne. They would do this by Telling the Story in that dead god's stead, since it is dead and cannot tell its own story (someone else tells the god's story, and becomes that god).

"Telling the Story" means becoming that god by copying it, believing you truly are it, making others around you recognize as it, and making them believe you are it, and keeping it up. Basically, "fake it, till you make it"

In essence, you have to be it, until it becomes you.

Maybe by mother, Flemeth meant "female mage that summoned me."

Well I hope a truth spell exists somewhere in Thedas, and that we could use it on Flemeth. I'm sick of her lying to my face and evading my questions.

I do think the truth will eventually come out about Flemeth and i think a good deal of theories will be entirely wrong.

Her being the formless one will likely fall into that.

flemmeth is something else.  i think maybe she and her daughters way have done something to create the race we call qunari.  i'm basing this off of the silent grove trilogy.

"She's no demon, no abomination, not even from this world."

Morrigan-Witch hunt

No. This is what she said

"She's no blood mage, no abomination. She is not even truly human. The ritual was but a means to an end, a herald for what is to come."
