Question, what is the purpose of the warning points in relation to the Mods? If you reach a certain number of them, do you get perma'd?

Bans, both temp and perma, are entirely at the mods' discretion. I suppose warning points serve as a nice little reminder that the heat is on to you.
That said, I've never heard or seen anything about any warning points being used. At the moment, it appears they are a largely unused feature.

I would like to know as well because I earned a few just by posting images.

Maybe they're like a count of employer write-ups, in forum form. If a mod is looking into our behavior and sees we have prior warnings, they might be moved to take stronger action. If we have no prior warnings they'd likely give a warning. Depends on the infraction, of course.

Can we at least trade them in to BioWare Points if we collect 1600? ![]()
No but seriously it would be nice if there where some infos about them on the FAQ or Site Rules something like how much you can get before you get perma banned or if they expire after a certain amount of time.

Honestly, I doubt they're going to tell us. If it turns out that the rule is, you get banned if you get x warnings within y months, some people might take that as permission to act up x-1 times every y months.

I hope they expire/go away because I got a ton from just posting an image and no text in a thread.

True, but I'd rather they let us know regardless or if it really does have an impact on Perma-status.
Since I know of few people on the old site, including myself - who were banned a dozen times or more, so... I'd rather know if it has any influence towards that type of outcome on a user.

Exactly got a history of bans myself, minor ones but still would like to know if past incidents on ye olde BSN would have any influence on what happens to you now too.
Would also like to know if warning points would be lifted after a certain amount of time, good behaviour and such.

I was not in any way being abusive to anyone, I was simply criticising the poor logic of a general group of gamers. There should be a way to dispute warning points.
I would also like to know why just posting an image is considered spam.

And I'd like to know why I was left to fend for myself by my parents from the age of 11 onwards. Alas, we may never get the answers to these important questions.
At the end of the day, son, it's a stupid, pointless and annoying message. Incidentally, I'd use similar words were I asked to describe you. Don't you worry your little head about it, Derpy. Go back and play with your ponies. (y)

Currently there aren't any automatic actions that are taken based on your warning points level.
So... what is their point exactly?

But I don't have any warning points.

This is hardly the time or place for personal questions. However, as an open, nice person I will answer your question.
As far as I know I never was hit by a brick. Although my parents were self-serving alcoholics, they were never barbarians. Funnily enough my dad did hit me on the head with a glass once when I was around 14, but never a brick.
If you would like to know anything else you can PM me OR create a thread dedicated to me. I'd prefer the latter option, but it's up to you. x
