We know that Shepard was born on April 11, 2154.
We know Ashley was born on April 14, 2158.
For everyone else, all we have is the year they were born.
I'd really love to know Kaidan's birthday. I want to make a dog tags for him, and mark his birthday on my calendar like I do for Shepard. And I know I'm not the only one.
We also know Ashley's blood type (B-Positive). I'd like to know Kaidan's blood type for the dog tags, too. I could make it up, but it feels so much better when it's official and coming from a place of authority.
So please, BioWare. Can we have some official background info on the rest of Shepard's squad?

I doubt you're going to get it. If it wasn't in the codex or in a line of dialogue, it's likely because they don't have an official DOB or blood type, or whatever. So what you're really asking is for someone to make this stuff up, but who? Most characters have had more than one writer. Plus, they'd have to actually look into what's already established about that character to avoid inconsistencies (and the fan rage that would follow from that 
), so it's not like they could just sit down and point randomly in a calendar.
All in all, if I were you I'd just accept that we won't know these things 
if you really want a day to celebrate Kaidan, you'll have to just make one up, I'm afraid.

Samantha Traynor is 26 during ME3 which means she was born in 2160.

I think the only characters that have an official canon birth date (beyond just the year) are Shepard and Ashley. Ashley is the only non-player character to have a canon birth date because it was featured on a character profile that was used as an advertisement for Mass effect 1.
Its unlikely one was ever created for Kaidan beyond the year he was born in, so its up to your head canon. You could always use his VA's birthday, I suppose. That would probably be on IMDB.

The DA book does not have companion specific stuff, however my thought was to actually include more back ground hard data on companions as part of such a book. I didn't do a good job of wording my previous post.

I see Cathleen Rootsaert among the writers which are going to be at PAX East 2014. She was the one who wrote (most of) Kaidan for ME3.
For anyone going there, could you please ask this question? Even if she does not know\remember that, she could at least confirm whether this 'official date' exists somewhere or not.
