When the AIU has a friendly neighborhood Turian following her around spamming Chain Overload at all of her Snap Freezes, how does that factor in?

 

I had a game a few hours ago with a good AIU.  I hopped on my TGI.  We were the stealth Cryo Asplosion Death Squad.  I don't even know who the other two pugs were, one had an Avenger and the other had no equipment whatsoever.  They scored like 30k each by the end of the game.  But it was the smoothest game I had all night.  Stuff just melted in our path.  I don't even remember what the enemy faction was, because nothing lived long enough to get a good look at it.

 

GI is selfish.

Split fitness and scrubmatrix, max the rest. Doesn't matter if bonus works with SF or not. Despite the fact that I hadn't tried her (boring even on paper), I don't think that there can be a problem in speccing such a kit.

And what would you use snap freeze for if you cannot break cloak with it amd thus hide its cd without losing out on the shotgun bonus? They way I see it (assuming now that I remember correctly) TC 6b and SF would be more or less mutually exclusive.

The shotgun bonus doesn't work off host all the time. There is a reference to the aiu being tested in peddro's compiledexhincs thread. Hope that helps. I would link but i'm mobile right now.

I don't take SF on AIU, out of the same reasoning. Even if bonus damage lasts 2.5 sec after breaking cloak... Dunno, you're hard pressed to cast SF and empty your clip in that time. More likely, your time runs out when you're still shooting.

It actually doesn't as far as the Shotgun bonus is concerned.

 

For normal Tactical Cloak, when you cloak it adds the Sniper Rifle damage bonus and when you decloak it puts the SR damage bonus on a 1.5 second timer before removing it so that it mimics the regular boost from cloak.

 

For the AIU, instead when you cloak it just adds the Shotgun damage bonus on a 2 second timer right away rather than waiting for you to decloak.

 

It actually functions more like the Turian Ghost's cloak, but since the Assault Rifle damage bonus has a 10 second duration we don't run into any issues with it.

I'm just looking at the code, but that's how it's set up.

 

It's possible that it doesn't recalculate the shotgun damage until after firing at least once. That would help to explain why off-host you can get 1 shot in before the bonus goes away sometimes. The way they add the rank 6 Tactical Cloak damage bonus isn't the standard method they use for most other damage bonuses.

Whats wrong with ignoring the broken and boring kit? I tend not to use winfiltrators a lot due to the boredom factor, with GI being the exception for weapon superiority.

To be honest, I tend to divide kits into two categories: weapon specialists (GI, TSol) and PPR handlers (TSent and valk). Destroyer and GT fit both groups. AIU doesn't fit any of two. Yeah, I am so narrow minded.

BSN has a habit of not liking anything they view as being "too easy" or "too powerful" and a lot of people view the AIU as being both.

Boredom and lolnoobetube factors.
All she has for her:
1. Lolcloak with a bland damage bonus, nothing interesting
2. Broken no walls no brainiac power with annoying lod splosions if detonated
3. Lolidontwanttodie grennades instead of something that deals damage (like HVI has)

She was the icing on the cake for idea that BioWare made Infiltrators too easy and powerful when compared to other classes.

Almost completed solo bronze with the suggested Claymore GI fit. Almost... Nothing as annoying as dying to Banshee with a kit that could see her coming even through walls! Greed killed me, thought I can get that ammo refill quickly. Claymore doesn't have huge supply of spare clips.

Try losing a Platinum solo from walking over a Swarmer with full shield and 1 bar of health.
