I'd actually argue that the TGI is worse for that, mainly since Stim Packs prevent you from even dying in the first place and instant shield/barrier removal from Overload.
Thats not to say that the AIU isn't right behind the TGI, of course =P
BSN has a habit of not liking anything they view as being "too easy" or "too powerful" and a lot of people view the AIU as being both.

Indeed, the logic of it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You do tend to see alot of them in PUG lobbies, like the TGI or Jugg, because she is very noob friendly, so I suppose part of it is people just get sick of the repetition. I still enjoy her from time to time, especially with the Raider (part of it is I just like how she looks, this skinny little sex robot running around with a gigantic shotgun), but she's hardly "the ultimate" anything.

Especially after seeing multiple (noobish) players coming on gold using no bonus mods and still clearing 1st and 2nd place. I couldn't help but say 'i hate that kit'.

Not enough. I don't know that I've ever seen a Raider TSol in a public platinum lobby (or any public lobby for that matter). Pugs gonna pug- but that doesn't mean that the kits they use as crutches aren't still fun sometimes for people who know better (I haven't whipped out the Juggy in a while but I still enjoy him, and I also enjoy some PPR Ghost action, or some Raider AIU action... actually thinking of using a reset card and playin around with a melee AIU).

GI is fully offensive, same thing with the DI. The TGI and AIU let you be fully offensive and make up for your mistakes. Really they all feel too easy sometimes (all the time).

Yeah, I've seen quite a few people do it, including you, and I've never gotten around to trying it. Her heavy melee is freakin' awesome. Venom seems like the natural fit for gun choice, but I could see it working with the standard Claymore/Wraith/Raider setup too. When you do it, do you use Hydraulic Joints/Berserker gear? Geth scanner? Shock Trooper?

I dunno, if a noob comes in with no equipment and tops the scoreboard regardless of the kit, I'd say everyone in the lobby was a noob. 
So much AIU hate...
I like playing the AIU, probably more than GI (except melee GI cuz that's the best GI)

Maybe you weren't playing when Reckoning went live, there was an AIU in every pug, back when repair matrix was retardedly overpowered.
Then bioware nerfed it, and the simultaneous deluge of tears from the scrubs and the laughter from the non-scrubs was truly a great moment in ME3's chequered history.
As for AIU being the "best" shotgun platform, I'll quote a taunt from UT: "NOT EVEN CLOSE!"
Classes with accuracy bonuses played by individuals who can aim will always out damage an AIU, as they are not hamstrung by needing to be point blank with a raider, as an example.
I just love the AIU as another decent class to use my Claymore with. Plus, gotta love the dodge sounds.
In terms of AIU being the best for shotguns, that goes to a GI in the right hands, not the AIU. But I mean, who cares which has better DPS? I know I'd probably not get top score against a (good) GI with my AIU but I have beat out (good) GIs when I use my good ol' regular KroSent plus my trusty Claymore.
All that matters top me is what is more fun at the time.
