I did appreciate that the PC could say no without it immediately ending the romance in DA:O.  Even if I didn't take advantage of said option all that much.

I wonder if it's literally a thing where making a bunch of weddings is prohibitive. (Related. See Dahlia Lynn's rather amazing Alistair wedding.)

 

I always make my sims (in the sims games) get married before having woohoo. But it's only because there's really no gameplay advantage to having woohoo. (Except for procreation.) So, they may have woohoo once altogether in their lives. That's probably a bit sad, really.
