This post is meant to be an introduction to a story trilogy I am working on known as Mass Effect Wraith.
This trilogy is set a year after the events of Mass Effect 3, following the Normandy crew from the entire Mass Effect Trilogy as they learn about the Wraith, the Artificial Intelligence that powered the Reapers. When this artificial intelligence corrupts the mind of one of the galaxy's greatest scientist, Dr. Kener Solus (see if you can find a connection), the crew has to traverse the galaxy to stop him from recreating the Reaper army to once again wipe out organic life.
This fanfiction will be slightly different from other aftermath stories for three large reasons:
1. The story will be written to apply to most of the decisions made in the original Trilogy, such as who Shepard's love interest was, and the final fate of the Reapers. This story will assume that everyone survived the events of the Mass Effect Trilogy and that the EMS score was high.
2. The story will be interactive: just like the original Mass Effect Trilogy- everyone will decide the choices the crew will make, which can lead to multiple endings. How you want the events to unfold is entirely up to you.
3. The story will try to be just as dark, if not darker, than the original Mass Effect Trilogy. The choices a player will make will be more gray (neither right or wrong), the stituations will be more controversial, and we may lose an important and beloved character (not telling who!)
The entire squad members from the original Mass Effect Trilogy will be present in this story, including Grunt, Wrex, Jacob, and Samara. Garrus will be the new commanding officer of the Normandy, while both Ashley and Kaiden will be alive (a backstory will be written later to explain how) and Tali will not have her mask (her features will be based on my ideas rather than the rushed and uncreative Mass Effect 3 design). For those familiar with Lair of the Shadow Broker and the Redemption comics, Feron will be now part of the crew.
