I'm a SJW and mage supporter, and even I still wanna burn the Dales to ground after hearing this. That should tell you how bad this is.

 

There are two types of SJW eluvianix, the regular folks who genuinely want to make the world a better place (and can get a bit annoying in their zeal) and the types that inspire /v/ musical parodies.

Even most Dalish wouldn't see it as a good/smart thing to do.  Merrill was a pariah in her clan *because* she wanted to do something like that.  Dalish consider it a taboo to mess around with spirits or demons.  The actions of individuals or a particular clan aren't "all Dalish".

Perhaps this guy is the uber powerful Despair demon we've heard about.

Forgive me, I'm against killing the helpless in general. And no, this doesn't extend to mages alone; a strangely high proportion of them in the series might be mages, but I don't kill Loghain either, for that reason.

 

Superior firepower if nothing else. No one will stand in my way if this is an option. Be it one or ten or ten thousand, they will fall.

Wow. Like I said, this really makes me want to have him as a major villain. All other villains in DA haven't come close to that.
