If it's going to be a choice at all, it'll be almost certain that the Dalish will be able to win somehow.
Alone? No, I don't think they'll be able to gain any kind of victory.

Ah, so it's a word...very interesting. I wonder if they still transmit the Taint though...
Spoiler
Greedy monster. I expect nothing less from Dalish scum.

I expect nothing less, shemlen.
What would an elven Rorschach say? Hmmm...
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the chevaliers and nobles will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "no."
Spoiler
Crap, then I guess Celene really doesn't need Briala then...
@Lob....I want to know where she got the word.
"the memory of injustices past and present draws the attention of restless spirits who rise to possess the dead and stalk the living across the blood-steeped earth."
Now I wonder if we are going to meet long dead elves and humans form the Dales conflict. This could be interesting...
The Witcher 2: Act 2 much?
Very tangentially. It's just a background element and doesn't interfere with any of the main quest content elsewhere.
I have to agree with you on that. I hope Inquisition has the same tasteful approach to the Orlesian Civil War and the rest of the quests.
There's nothing to suggest that. Andraste brought back worship of the Maker among the human tribes, while the elves followed the old traditions, and created an entire kingdom in pursuit of restoring their lost culture. I don't see why Shartan would forsake the Creators for a shemlen religion.
Nothing except that Cahntry parafernalia had its share of depictions of Shartan and the Canticle before saying good things about the elves became heresy, and Sister Petrine calls him a devotee of Andraste in the codex entry about Glandivalis. Ok, Chantry souces can be biased, but what about Shartan's very spirit guarding the Sacred Ashes?
It's not definite proof, I agree, but it's more than just assuming he didn't believe in her because the elves of the Dales didn't.
I expect nothing less, shemlen.

Don't call me a Shemlen. I am either a City Elf or a Vashoth if I like the origin of the latter.
Crap, then I guess Celene really doesn't need Briala then...
I will not allow Morrigan to interfere in this case.

It's not bloody Shartan. It's a programmed illusion that turns into ash wraiths if you get the answer wrong. Nothing in the Gauntlet is real.

Indeed. Things won't go as smoothly as Briala plans.

We should use spoilers, for people who have not read the extended preview.

You assume you have a choice in the matter.
And the Guardian and Urn of Sacred Ashes are real, so your statement's wrong. ![]()

They will if I have anything to say about it, no matter how many Orlesians might get in my way.

The Fereldan civil war didn't force you to support anyone who'd be an ass to minorities. I hold the Orlesian one to the same standards.
And the Urn is just a fancy Elfroot potion, while the Guardian seems to have some kind of immortality effect on him... unless he's some kind of abomination.

You may not have an option.
You may not have an option.
We've had an option every other time something like this has happened.

World of Thedas also seems to say that Shartan converted to being one of Andraste's disciples.

The last time Morrigan had an eluvian on her hands nobody could stop her. Even stabbing her didn't seem to cause much trouble for her. So I wouldn't get my hopes too high about this.
