Mhmm.

._. When i repeat one cited piece of evidence that may or may not be valid by the point of DAI, feel free to call me out it and point out as comparable to the reliance on One Adrastian Mage and One Dalish Pariah alrightie?

Til then, Its not much to go on by my reckoning.

Z, pot meet kettle. We all do it, so please get off your high horse.

When i call a stance "retarded" that may actually be a valid comparison, but Xill dragging that over here isn't an overly accurate comparison.

Not overly surprised by it though its, Xill, inaccurate and sporadic fit the bill.

Considering Merrill repeatedly insists on trusting/sympathizing with demons I'm disinclined to see her lecturing of Anders as anything but hypocritical.

Yup.

No, Xill drug over a post from another forum i made, when i got called "retarded" for supporting a templar stance and i told the person it wasn't nice.

Apparently that's comparable to being mildly annoyed by a conjecture piece via Lob.

I mean really Z there's a reason for that hosility with Xili many posters show. I told you we've been having debates for years. I don't know why you just assumed we were being rude asshats for no reason.

Well least you somewhat see now.

Again, You miss the point. In fact were this situation comparable I'd even find this vaguely amusing, as it though? Its inaccurate and annoying.

Deliberately I'd imagine, but that's fair i suppose.

You can strew things however you wish, it doesn't make them true.

Allow me to point out that being able to wring deals out of demons and betray them later, which is the only thing she really advocates doing, does not actually involve trusting or sympathizing with them overmuch.

I know. I'm telling you why before remember you first came to the forum and you were like "Why are you all so hostile towards Xili?" what you just experienced was part of the reason why.

That's all.

I do hope that mirror doesn't harm Merrill if you friended her. Though even if it does I rivaled her so *dances*

She had to trust Audacity a little bit. Otherwise she wouldn't do what he suggested for the mirror.

Merrill doesn't insist on trusting spirits, she cautions they are all dangerous but says that you can sometimes learn things from them without making a deal with them, as Hawke can with the Profane Abomination and Torpor.

To a single extent involving magical techniques, yes.

I would recommend that you try to adhere more to your own etiquette pronouncements.

Hawke only got something from Topar by signing a deal with him, And the agreement between the PC and the Profane while not an official "deal" in so far that it can be later broken, isn't comparable to getting blood magic from a demon, when they start handing that out for free with out four points in coercion. tell my Warden.

Its a pain getting that specialization on new playthroughs.

I'm looking at the situation as being railroaded into an outcome I'd oppose. If this hypothetical situation involved the protagonist being forced into killing the templars and helping the mages to deal with the crisis of the veil tears, I doubt you'd be making the same argument.

Railroading happens Lob. Cheers to killing Red Temps and psycho mages.

Plus your assumption like DKJaiden before you about my liking of the Templars is way off the mark. My Warden's a mage, helped the collective, saved Ferelden's CoM, ended Zathrian's curse with the Dalish as allies and asked for the Magi Boon (other choices were lame), while in DA2 i sent Feynriel to the Dalish then to Tevinter, let Grace's group escape as Kerras raping Alain is awful then sided with Kirkwall's CoM at the end of act 3. I mostly debate pro mages as i'm not an idealist and don't see most of DA's conflicts in black and white.

About me being railroaded into killing templars? I don't care so long as they aren't reduced into caricatures.

And i would recommend you actually sticking to the setting and intent of those pronouncements if you intend to use them for detraction.

Just friendly advice.

When it's saying "let me into your mind, I won't turn you into an abomination, pinky-swear," yes. But absolutes are rarely accurate, and saying that a demon can never be trustworthy on anything ever is incorrect.

No, Merrill built the Eluvian from lore she gathered and information she extrapolated from the shard. She spoke with Audacity about blood magic, and it was trapped in a statute for nearly a millennia and sundered from the Fade.

Speaking with the Profane Abomination and Torpor doesn't require you to make a bargain with either one. You can gather intel, and then attack them, which are moves that are supported by Merrill.
