Between the templars pursuing the Dalish and their religion being criminalized, and the elves of the human cities being victim to persecution and purges en mass against the populace, I'm not seeing why the status quo should be maintained. With an independent Dales, there's a possibility of a homeland for elves everywhere, free from religious persecution and mass killings against the populace for protesting their living conditions. I think that's a worthy goal.

No, I'm just saying that if the "Dalish Messiah" character is not the saint his people think he is, I'm taking him out of the equation.

And how long do you think it would be before ANOTHER Exalted March was called?

Well in general, the EU of the games in both DA and ME doesn't always really seem to perfectly fit with the games. I think it's part of the reason why I never bothered to read any before now.

Exactly, the writers for the game went 'lol screw the book, let's do our own thing'

Personally, anyone who thought Cerberus were "good guys" deserved to fall for it in my opinion.

You know, I actually follow the school of thought that Shartan followed the Maker, After all near the entirety of the forces assembled under Andraste converted to her God.

I never said they were good guys, I don't care if they are "good guys", at the end of ME2 they are the only group opposing the Reapers, but this thread isn't about them

its about elves and such

And if you don't support them, apparently they can just send an army of sylvans to your bedroom.

Who wrote this?

Sure and why don't we go ahead and just teach all human soldiers to be berserkers so we can kill the elves before that happens?

You aren't dwarves. And Eluvians may just need a command word.

Depends whose leading the elves for me. I'm not going to have them trade one master for another.

Elaborate?

"Good guys"? No, I never thought they cared over much for mortality at all if i am being honest.

They were however an organization i saw much potential within.

If there is a major drawback, it's gonna hit the Dalish pretty badly in DAI, I believe.

That's kind of been the hat of the Dalish in the games.

DA:O - Create curse to enact revenge -> Curse impacts own tribe

DA:2  - Attempt to save apprentice from herself -> Clan is stuck in one place for several years & the Keeper is possessed

Their inability to control their emotions causes them problems.  If the mirrors are all they're cracked up to be, we're probably going to see this clan suffer from pride (as rage & desire were done already).

They may not have been good guys but they should've been potential allies based on what you do

if the dalish got an independent nation they would wage a war against one of the human nations, thats almost certan considering the bad blood involved

Jedi Master posted something that stated he became a disciple of Andraste.

Screw it. Shatter all the mirrors and be done with it. This is WAY too much power for the Dalish alone to hold.

The Dalish have an ingrained belief that they are the last true elves, And that City elves are basically Human.

Hence the racial slur "flat ear".

I could easily see city elves living under the Dalish basically being as prosecuted if not more so then under Humans.

Especially if they continued to follow Andrastian belief.

Not in ten thousand years. It's theirs and theirs alone.

I will not allow it in my own playthrough.

Nope, not at the expense of letting them having that much power over the world. Looks like I'm gonna be calling on Morrigan to help me counteract the Dalish.

Oh, it was easy to see that Cerberus was, at their lightest, grey.  But given that you were fighting against an omnicidal force of space-machines, I thought it might be a good situation to see how far Shepard would go to save the galaxy.  Think of them as the Mass Effect blood magic; it isn't good, but it can be useful! :D

We should give them to the Templars, purely for the lulz

Project Overlord was so ambitious :(

I thought that research would go so somewhere actually.
