And what tevinter empire is? That they have large army when they have corrupted and divided leaders mean a little... Not mention that most after both celene and gaspard death would start killing each other for power...

So as i many times sides tevinter and orlais may be powerfull but corrupted and fragile from the bottom to the top...

And as i said we will have possibility to gain many allies and you can always recruit armies...

Not to mention that orlais have numerous rebellions not only from elves heh no wonder...

Assumption.

Assumption.

Assumption.

It only has the civil war actually at the moment, the Elven rebellion died relatively quickly thanks to Celene.

As this is the Dales, one might wonder: what’s become of the Dalish elves?

“They’ve retreated into an area with more security away from all the fighting,” explains Farrell. “Of course, they’ve got a few problems of their own.”

I'm glad that it seems the Inquisitor will have an opportunity to meet some Dalish in the Dales. I wonder what opportunities the elven Inquisitor will have with the clans, as well as with the temporary ceasefire between the forces of Celene and Gaspard.

I do indeed.

You need to read The Masked Empire then.

I have to admit, Gaspard scored points with me when he upheld his word over accepting the base actions of a valuable ally, and when he proved that what a person does is more important to him than who birthed them.

Yup. I loved that scene with him and Michel.

Gaspard's willingness to keep Michel's lineage confidential did show that side to him. Gaspard and Celene were given their own respective strengths (and flaws). I think it was a step in the right direction, to give players sufficient reasons to side with either one.

While the thought of taking the throne is ridiculous, hopefully "removing" both of them will be an option, or at the very least giving neither of them what they want.

All of the chaos borne from the civil war, the tears, and the Mage/Templar conflict could provide a nice cover for marking off various nobles as "casualties of war".

Pfft, The Empress's Harlot isn't organizing levies or Logistical support for a war effort by books end, It ends sort of ambiguously i admit but i saw no rebellion there.

Now, then, if he gives up this ridiculous war, that might actually be enough for me to not invert all of his sensory organs.

Now now, Xil. Remember how this goes?

You mess with Gaspard needlessly, I go have a chat with Briala.

Upon reflection, I don't think Gaspard is anti-elf.  I think the biggest difference between he and Celene is that he's outward looking, and less concerned with the domestic front, while Celene is an internal reformer first, and feels as though foreign affairs can wait.

That's one of the reasons I think that, if they could have put their differences aside, they'd have made a well rounded and fantastic monarchy for Orlais.  Maker help Ferelden and Nevarra, but Orlais would have been as strong or stronger than ever.

I also liked that the novel showed that there is a clear separation between Orlais and the Chantry that happens to be based there.  One of the initial concerns of the primary characters was that Orlais would need to interfere in the brewing Templar/Mage situation.  Celene was firm that it was a matter internal to the Chantry and that Orlais should stay out of it if at all necessary, and Gaspard worried that letting the Chantry deal with it themselves was giving them too much power, when it was the responsibility of the Throne to deal with internal threats.  In both cases, it was very clear that they considered the Chantry an entirely autonomous entity that might not have Orlais' best interests at heart.

And why in any hell do you care about Gaspard?

Yes. That's why, ideally, both of them need to fall; Orlais is a threat to everyone else. If I must prop Celene up, so be it, but I will suffer that traitor poorly.

._.

No they wouldn't.

I'm not certain why you think that, since it wouldn't be the first time that an Antivan said something in Spanish. Zevran had a Spanish accent, and Antivans have used Spanish words in the past, from Zevran saying "Si amor?" in dialogue with the romanced Warden to Vincento saying "maldición".

I hope we get to adorn a wall with Briala, I don't have much against her, but she's inciting rebellion and pro-longing a devastating conflict

@Xil, I don't think he necessarily deserves your ire...or blood magic.
