He's not officially confirmed, which means the possibility of him not being a companion is still plausible.

I think the appeal of a High Seeker is what drew me into her. That and her accent.
Exactly. She's her job, first and foremost. We didn't know much about Seekers until then, and it's kind of interesting. The connection to Leliana also made it interesting.
There's just a lot of intrigue surrounding it. I don't see it with Cullen. He's cool and all, but I don't know what else he has going for him, especially with bigger plots. I don't even know what kind of Templar he is. He's radically different from DAO to DA2.
Loooooooooooool, that's all I'm going to imagine now! Imagine how painful that'd be?
.
Lmfaooooooo ! Very painful. I suppose all the hearts on her armor could help the pc to be distracted enough to forget the pain, while looking at them. XD
Maybe there is romance wih Cullen. Romance with Cassandra :-p I can just imagine david gaider's evil laugh, cuz he is evul.
Cullen better stay away from Cassandra if he knows what's good for him.

Sharp metal edges going in unfathomable places. Ugh I'm cringing just thinking about it lmfaoo
Cullen doesn't blindly hate mages like he did during Origins and might get along with a mage Inquisitor. That's my best guess as to why.
Ah. I forgot whom I was talking to for a minute.
Cullen better stay away from Cassandra if he knows what's good for him.
Why? She got Herpes?
Why? She got Herpes?
No, but he'll end up with a bad case of "My Sword in his Gut".

Okay, I think I missed a step between "stay away from Cassandra" and "sword in the gut." I take it you're referring to the idea of Cullen and Cassandra becoming a couple?

lets say that fanatical whiny companions started to bore me
I seek for neutral guys/girls who won't cry if i kill mages or templars if beneficial as far they are throwing pro-chantry characters at me and one "neutral" two-goody shoes or at least how they presented varric in gameplay trailer...

To be honest all i care is option to say to him "get lost" with second option to use sparta kick on him and never see him again however it would be shame for me if he was companion and took 1 possible spot for intresting character instead just fanservice.

That doesn't sound too neutral lol

Hinata likes to romance Cassandra, but Cassandra and Cullen may get together which make Hinata jealous. Thus, Hinata turns yandere and kills Cullen. Hinata and Cassandra then live happily ever after, the end.

Umm,Yeah..I'd prefer not to comment on that one, opinions vary after all... ![]()
Not sure why Cullen is fanservice exactly but whatever.
Edit: That wasn't directed at Battlebloodmage. I apologize if there was any misunderstanding.
For those that keep insisting that this is just "fan service," guess we'll have to go over this yet again. Back in January, I started a thread asking why Cullen is considered fan service and David Gaider was kind enough to stop by. There is no including Cullen for fan service.
http://forum.bioware...vice/?bioware=1
In my experience, the things we might put into a game solely to make fans (or a select group of fans, anyhow) happy tend to be pretty small in scope. Anything larger than that is going to require justification. At least someone on the team will need to believe that thing's inclusion has merit to the story or the game at large.
Fans like it when something they've been rooting for gets included in a title. When it's something they haven't been rooting for, but which others have, then it becomes "fan service" and a bad thing. In the case of Cullen, that gets laced with some extra venom because the fans who would be most excited about his inclusion (if, indeed, he's included in the way that some appear to assume) are both female and likely interested in romancing him.
And, for the love of God, why would we try to make them happy? To what new low has BioWare sank?
Try to maintain a bit of class, people. If something does get included that a group of fans would be excited for. no matter what the reason is, instead of being jealous try to be happy for them.
I'm referring to the perception of "people who want Cullen to appear."
It's like the threads that keep popping up about him. Just about every one starts with "oh god why are there all these threads where crazy fangirls are demanding he be in the next game?"
I don't know what they're referring to. There have been way more threads complaining about fans asking for Cullen than there have ever been threads asking for Cullen...and the threads asking for Cullen are generally the same sort of wistful "wouldn't it be nice if...?" discussions that come up about every other sort of thing that people talk about here in absence of real game info.
Quite frankly, if there ever was a group of fans who I (or anyone else on the DA team) would include something just to make them happy, I think we'd lean more towards the "polite but enthusiastic" than not. Just saying.
Not if you don't like him. If you don't like him then, even if you don't know what the story is, there's no justifiable reason for him to return. If he did, you can already tell he would be boring no matter how he's written.
This is why I stop paying attention to character discussions fairly early on.
Wait, there's more!
http://dgaider.tumbl...cter-popularity
Even so, there’s a particular alchemy with a character’s popularity that can’t necessarily be replicated by taking them and plopping them in a new story. Characters need to grow and change over time, or what’s the point? If they have the exact same attitudes, trot out the exact same catch-phrases and plot points again and again, wouldn’t they eventually wear out their welcome? So, when it comes to considering whether a character will make an appearance—and by that I mean as a follower or major character in the story, not simply as a cameo—our thinking solely revolves around what more we could possibly do with them. Do they have somewhere to go that we find interesting? One assumes they were popular previously because of how well they were written, so our focus is on whether we could write more and make it good. If we’re bored, after all, you’ll be bored.
The point, after all, is that the new story has a context which could contain almost anything. Yes, you can only really offer feedback on that which you’ve already seen, but don’t get trapped into thinking that’s all there ever could be.Or do so, if you prefer. It’s not as if I can stop you. All I’m saying is what factors into our decision. What a fan is telling us may not be what they think they’re telling us, or at least not necessarily the part to which we’re paying attention… and, really, if there’s a good story there, it’ll be good regardless of how good or bad someone online decided it would be a year beforehand.
So, can we please drop the fan service BS? It says right above me in black and white that the fans had little to do with their decision to include returning characters, which includes Cullen. Be happy for other fans for once.
Well, If you are going to romance Cassandra, I'm sure that Cullen won't fight over her with you. ![]()
Otherwise : I thought it was funny how a few talimancers wanted Garrus to be dead, just because he dated Tali, - in a universe where their own character did romance another companion and not Tali. ![]()
I do hope there will be some couple among our companions if we do not romance them to be honest. Tali and Garrus as a couple for me was badly done while they were cute, it just came out of nowhere, and Isabela and Fenris, it was just slightly implied. I might be not very subtle, but it's on this forum that I've learned that they had rough sex together...
I understand why someone would make that assumption, but I think it's foolish to say that in a thread dedicated to him (crazy fans eheheheheh)
seriously though, we all have our own opinions.

Word of Gaider quotes are always good though. I figure I'd nip that misconception in the bud right now. ![]()

Yeah they definitely help. Now, would they help sway my opinion, probably not, but they may make me shut up lol ![]()
(not that I agree/disagree, just giving an example)

Who haven't Isabela been with? It's implied that she's been with Anders also. On that note, Jacob dated Miranda, so why don't people get upset over it? As a Taliband, I don't mind Tali and Garrus getting together since I dumped her for Kaidan. Honestly, people, if they're not in a romance with you then you have no right to get upset when they date someone else.
I'm gonna let yall know right now if Cassandra romances anyone but me I will eliminate them from my party in a hot minute
