Okay please do two two different answers for this: 1) one if you didnt have magic, and 2) one if you did

For instance if you didnt have magic would you be a warrior or rogue? What specialisation/weapon choice would you have? Why?

And if you had magic would you focus on magic or would you ignore your gift/curse and focus on physical talents instead (if so what would these be)? And if you chose to develop your magic what school of magic would you focus on? why?

Side note: Your answer should be based on your physical qualities but feel free to put down what you would want to be as well.

For me:

1) I dont have the build or strength for a warrior so I would be a rogue. I'm fairly good at archery so I think my weapon choice would be a bow. I'm good with animals so I think I would be a ranger for my specialisation.

2) If I had the ability to use magic I would definatly use it (unlees I was an apostate so I would want to lay low and develop my abilities elseware: see above). As for the school of magic I would follow, probably creation because I think I would be much more likely to use it than any of the other schools (although I might focus a little on primal because I'm a pyromaniac at heart ). As for my specialisation, If I could I would be a shape shifter. Is it just me or does anyone else want to know what its like to fly?

rogue would be my first. melee rogue.

in the most games rogues have a great value, and they will either betray you at some point or they will just show up late enough. so i prefer to play rogue as pc.

however i did one exception in the DA2. Because i still can't stand this macarena dance, that supposed to be melee attacks with daggers. horrible.

and i recall rogues always can use scrolls.

Hybrid rogue (archer/dw. Not a master of either). Former thief. Wasted too many points in Stealing. Now I have little use for it.

1/ Probably warrior. Though I'm not big or bulky enough to be the traditional two hand weapon berserker, I think I can make a tanker with a shield. My weapon of choice would be either mace or ax. Always prefer those to good old long sword lol

2/ I love magic so I would definitely use it. Always interest in fire and ice so I'm going with offensive mage class, like war mage or something. It just suit my personality since I'm more likely to blow the gate up and march in than knock or ask politely lol

1) I'd be a rogue. If the Maker hears my pleas and archery actually becomes cool (a la Dragon's Dogma - I mean can you even IMAGINE DD's archery in DA), I would specialize in archery. Otherwise, dual weapons.

2) Yes yes yes for magic. Probably creation, though that's what I always choose - maybe I'll be brave enough to branch out in DAI. I can't help it, creation just feels so friggin' powerful.

^mmm offtopic. archery/dual weapons specializations.

you know always hated that. like if you are mage, you have to use staff. Arcane Warrior is some kind of alternative, especially when you can build this class around certain spells. if a rogue - you are about to use this or that, like daggers or bows. DA2 handled it real bad.

But why a mage can't use a two-handed sword? Hate this discrimination based on class of the character.

I'd just rather it go back to DAO. The flexibility worked well enough there, but only rogues retained some of it in DA2.

I agree. What I would like would be simply the choice of whether you can use magic or not in the CC. From then on your free to do whatever you like (unless you chose not to be a mage obviously).

I would probably be a rogue/Shadow, although if I existed in the world I would probably be an inventor or something similar.

If I had magic I would be a shapeshifter

All technical knowledge/tinkering/and science is devoted to picking locks and poison.

So.. inventors are rogues. :D

1)Id be a rogue wielding a greatsword. imagine backstabing with that lol. On a serious note: Im not a skinny type, but im also not very masculine(pretty average build). Usually I rely more on my reflexes and agility rather then strenght if I ever get into a fight. Going by that im more a rogue type then warrior. Probably a ranger rogue since I like bows more then daggers :).

2) If I had magic I would practice it ofcourse.Healing is to boring, blood magic is to evil. Spirit school is also evil in my eyes since it basically allows you to raise corpses. Probably the elemental school. It would be awesome to throw little fireballs in people's face's if they annoy you lol.

mages and warriors do not have enough flexibility. yes you can level the area with spells or chop through meat wall of enemies. but... something is not right.

if you remember in BG games zone of detection for traps is decent enough. In DAO and especially in DA2 if you have a rogue few steps behind from your pc, there is almost 100% chance that you will face-tank a trap. Like your leg already on a trap and some smartass npc is telling you - look out a trap. Well thank you very much Captain Hindsight, these poison darts sticking from my chest already gave me a hint that's something not right with this passage.

So for the first playthrough - a rogue. plus you can set traps... i hope.

1) I have no muscle to speak of so I'd definitely be a rogue specialized in archery. I prefer to say in the back and not be in the front lines. Also, I've studied some chemistry and liked it -> poison making.

2) Spirit healer, definitely, since irl I'm aiming to become a doctor. Healers are the doctors of Thedas, right? I can see myself working with spirits or sharing my body with one (like Wynne, not Anders). Some elemental magic would be cool, too. I might dabble in some blood magoc... in secret, of course. For science!

1) archer/ranger - i'm lazy, i'd just pew pew ppl from safe distance and send my puppy to fetch loot. i like tinkering, solving logical problems and trolling so i'd spec traps (useless, i know) and lockpicking. i'd love to roll assasin or duelist but i'm too clumsy, i'd cut myself ;D

i have a small frame and ppl would trip over me so i guess i'm a dwarf

2) blood mage/force mage elf (dwarves don't do magic). i'd use mind control (go harras other programmers, you evil business person/fetch me slippers and rub my belly, nao!) and telekinesis - i'm that lazy. i'd spec traps. mages cannot lockpick, so i'd go with potions/poisons.

Well I spent years in the US Army and have the physical strength to show from it, so I'm already a Warrior. My current profession however puts me as a dwarf sitting at a tavern drinking.

With magic I'd probably focus on burning things? Who doesn't like fire?

I'd be a warrior. Swordplay has always interested me and not that dual-wielding dagger stuff the rogues do. Considering how wary of magic I am when it comes up in discussions with friends, I'd totally be a Templar.

If, however, I had magic, I'd use it given how I'd probably be raised in the circle. My specialization would be force magic if it was an option. If not, either entropy or spirit. Maybe a mixture of both.

What kind of discussions of magic do you have with friends that you could possibly find wary? It's not real, is it?

We're all DA buffs and talk about the lore, usually trying to see it from an in-universe perspective. One of my friends always plays as mages so I guess he's more inclined to see things from their point of view about things like blood magic.

Oh, I see what you mean. I'd probably be wary of that too.
