Hello there!

 

One of my childhood's greatest gaming experiences is about to reborn. Probably some of you (veteran gamers) heard of the game Outcast. An open world, interactive sci-fi adventure game which was way ahead of its time when it came out. If you have not heard of it, go look into it and get it on GOG. It's a steal really and a game which created its own cult and aged just as well as some old, legendary titles like Thief, Deus Ex or Diablo and still is a great pleasure to play. 

 

Now the original team got together again to make a REMAKE of the old game with HD graphics, new animations, new UI and possibly even more to make this legend available for younger gaming generations. There's a raise in Kickstarter for the Outcast remake. Check out this video, check out the old game and if you are interested feel free to chip in.

I am not into kickstarter at all but this finally got me to give some money for a project now.

 

Outcast was an absolutely brilliant game and probably the most cinematic and immersive game experience I had until the Mass Effect series came along. A remake, created by these guys would be fantastic and it would also be a first step towards an Outcast 2!

 

I think any fan of BW games (especially those who liked Mass Effect) should take a look, even if they didn't know or play the original. This game may be right up your ally.

 

Personally I am not a great fan of all these reboots and HD remakes but this game definitely deserves one!

Mass Effect is huge, but Outcast was/is pure magic. I can't wait for this release.

Yea, it definitely has its own style. Unfortunately the kickstarter campaign seems to go really slow. I wouldn't have expected this. I mean, who wouldn't want a new Outcast?
